If I could give this company negative stars, I would. They are running a scam - you will never get your deposit back. Stay away"

For the first month, they shorted me 8 days and every week their rules change so they can extort more money from me. They tried to change my car to an older model even after saying they wouldn't more than 3 times. Their website claims their cars are RFID ready, but they are not. They don't stick to what they say. They would try everything to hustle more money whatever it takes. They will invent rules, they will make you a mind reader. Even to the very last day, they still tried to wrestle some money from me by saying I had to pay for the over time of the car for 4 hours even after they said they were going to pull out the car at a later time. They kept my ID and never returned it. If you give them a deposit, don't expect that you can get it back in full. They will try to invent things so that they don't have to give it back to you. Rent at your own risk. Read their Google reviews--my experience is not an isolated incident. They disabled their Facebook reviews for a reason....these people are crooks.

I work at night so riding the shuttle is far more safer and convenient that riding public transportation, not to mention, 'tipid' Our company hired the services of Hertz; it's a rent a car services available and known around the world but what impressed me are the drivers. All of the drivers are very professional, courteous and kempt, but the most important common characteristic that they have are their strict commitment to time and schedule that gets us to our destination on time. They fully observe all traffic rules and regulations, preserve their patience and keep their focused on the road. Also Hertz provides vans that are always in good running condition with cold air conditioner and a clean van all in all. No wonder why Hertz is successful and internationally recognized because they give the best services and maintain a high level of their vehicles for their customers.

United States Rent Date Feb 4 to Feb 17, 2024…read more ONLINE PRESENSE: Misleading, not everything in their website are True. LOCATION: Stated in their website you check-in the airport and pick-up car at the airport. ALL FALSE. They have an attendant at the airport who will advise you to follow them to their small creepy secluded office about 15 minutes away and that is where you conduct your check-in for the car and payment which is very spooky and looked like a place for gangs lurking in the dark. If it wasn't for my nephew who was tall and big I would have never followed her. PAYMENTS AND INSURANCE: Paid in full, but they also ask for extra deposits of which I gave them 1-$100 dollar bill worth P5600 pesos + P1000 pesos. A total of P6,600 pesos altogether. CAR - TOYOTA "WIGO" Cute little car, When we picked it up we made sure and took picture all around and took picture of the gas gauge. It was missing a full bar+. We mentioned this to the driver and the person who handed us the car key, but later on found out they neglected to add it in the comment section. CAR DRIVING - MANILA Driving around Manila with a small car was very convenient as you can do a U-turn easily as well as you can squeeze yourself in between big cars and trucks. CAR DRIVING - BAGUIO CITY Driving to Baguio was a dragged, the car can barely get up the hill. It took hours to get to city of Baguio NOT enough power. If you need more power you need to get an SUV. However once we got there the car being small made it convenient to go around as it was small and can squeeze in between motor bikes, other cars and trucks and U-turn was not a problem. The only other thing was slowing up and down in a slow manner or else you end up with a scratch bumper. FUEL; The car had an Eco Friendly feature that barely used gas going down the hill. From Manila to Baguio City only gas up once going up and once going down. It didn't need to but I just wanted to be safe. RFID: The car had an RFID card loaded so it was very convenient for us to get through all the toll lanes without stopping. Nice feature you want to have especially if you are going through so many tolls. CAR RETURN: We followed the address that was on the receipt payment so we got lost. Make sure to read the comment section on where to return the car so you don't end up like me. If you are a returning a car and your flying international, then you need to use Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. If you are flying domestic's around the Philippines only use Terminal 3. I learned that the hard way and almost missed my flight. DEPOSIT RETURN: Make sure you have someone that will pick up the deposit after dropping off the car or else you will never get it back. I had my nephew pick up the deposit and they deduct an extra P660 pesos plus fees and charge us for short gas bar, when my nephew explained to them that it was missing a bar when we picked up the car they did not honor it because the person that check out the car to us neglected to add the gas bar in the comments. In future I will never ever pay deposit again or will look for a different Rental Car Service.

Both vans were in great condition and arrived on time. I was particularly impressed by their customer service. Viajero's personable communication - from the invoice to the arrival of the drivers - is not like other rental car services. It is worth noting that while their system is automated, Viajero's real, live staff also gave us something like a virtual concierge service. I also want to note that not only were the drivers polite and courteous throughout the trip, they were also very patient, as our group included several small children. Mang Rico and Kuya Emil took us safely to our destination and back, with several stops in between. Overall, I highly recommend Viajero. It absolutely made a difference in the success of our non-profit's event!

I would STRONGLY urge everyone to NEVER rent a vehicle from Viajero Rent A Car in Manila,…read morePhilippines. I travel internationally many times a year (both for buisness and pleasure) and this is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a car rental company. Here is a copy of the email that I sent to Viajero Rent A Car on April 9, 2018, which was several days after returning from a 35 day vacation in the Philippines. I will try to a PDF file of Viajero's email replies to me. They always say they're doing something but it's been more than a month now and still NOTHING has been done. Please see my email of April 9, 2018 below: To Whom It May Concern: It's unfortunate that I have to write this email this evening, but I feel I have no choice in order to make you aware of how extremely unsatisfied I was with my Viajero Rent-A-Car rental. I have travelled to Philippines on many occasions in the past 9 years, but have always rented from Hertz Car Rental, located at NAIA. For this particular vacation, I decided to try another company. I found Economy Car Rentals (www.economycarrentals.com) and the price seemed reasonable so I decided to rent with them, which ultimately led me to Viajero Rent-A-Car. On March 2, 2018, at approximately 1PM, we arrived at NAIA and were given a Toyota Innova. The car looked very old, as there were numerous scrapes, bumps, dents, lots of scratches on every side of the car and the 4 tires were in horrible condition. The driver's seat had a very big rip in the leather, and there were many, many dirty stains/markings all over the roof inside the car. Norman, my Filipino travel companion and I were quite surprised at how poor and in such bad shape the car looked. We received the car with very little gas in the tank, as the dial was on 'E' (or empty). The very first thing we had to do was drive to a diesel station to fill with diesel. I have rented vehicles all around the world in the past and have always received a rental vehicle that had a full tank of fuel. On March 5, 2018 at approximately 7-8PM, we were driving from Calamba City, Laguna to Nagcarlan, Laguna, when the brakes on the car started to act a little strangely. While trying to stop at a busy intersection, I pushed on the brakes, but the brakes did not work and the brake pedal went directly to the floor. I had to quickly pump the brakes many times for the brakes to eventually work. This was an extremely scary situation, as this could have caused a terrible traffic accident, which could have killed Norman, his parents, his sister and myself. Immediately following this incident, the brakes seemed to work ok again. However, after driving approximately 5KM further, the same thing happened again. At this point, we immediately parked the car on the side of the highway and contacted the on-call telephone number at Viajero Rent-A-Car. Someone answered the call and took our information as to what was wrong and where we were located. The employee called us back very quickly and asked us if we could contact a towing truck to have it towed to a garage. I'm sorry, but as a customer travelling in a foreign country, I should not have to be the one to go through the inconvenience to research and find a towing company. My travel companion, Norman, contacted a good friend of his from Nagcarlan, Laguna, and we found out there were no towing companies in Nagcarlan, Laguna, and that the closest towing company was in San Pablo City, Laguna. We contacted Viajero again to inform them that it wasn't possible. Initially, we were told to leave the car on the side of the highway (in a safe place) and that someone would pick up the car tomorrow (March 6, 2018). The employee kept asking me if the car was parked in a safe place. I kept saying that I didn't know the place, so I couldn't verify if the place was safe. We left the car, hired a cab (another expense for me), and were driven back to our residence in Nagcarlan, Laguna. Later that night (March 5, 2018 still), we got a call from Viajero Rent-A-Car that they were going to send us another vehicle (Toyota HiAce) and that someone would be by sometime tonight/early morning to swap the car. I assured him that this would be ok. At approximately 2-3AM on March 6, 2018, we got a call from Viajero that someone was outside the house so we got up and drove the Viajero employees to the Toyota Innova. We then drove the Toyota HiAce back home. There is so much more to this email, but Yelp doesn't allow that many characters. If you want to see all of the email correspondance between Viajero and I, please contact me directly at jacobsdennis@hotmail.com, and I will send you everything. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VIAJERO!

So here is my feedback on their processes…read more I booked on my global Avis account selecting the option to pay at counter. Feedback point one: When someone selects to pay at counter they do not expect an email demanding payment in advance with a threat that the reservation will not be guaranteed. But this is what Avis Manila do. Feedback point two: They ask for confidential information to be provided on an insecure Google Doc. Are they crazy?? Who provides confidential information on an insecure google doc, especially when all that information is already provided on the secure Avis App. Feedback point three: They ask for payment in advance through a mechanism that is outside the Avis App. Are they mad? Who does that? Who goes to an external unknown payment mechanism that is outside the Avis App. Feedback point four: If they want payment in advance, do it on the Avis App and do not allow the option for payment at the counter. This is the case is some other countries. As they fail on all feedback points, you create an atmosphere of distrust and insecurity. Who books with a company they can not trust or are given a sense of insecurity. I am sure they have a higher cancellation rate than other companies. Both Dollar and Europcar in Philippines respect the pay at counter option. Their current systems are a total customer service FAIL.
