As our time in N.C. was limited due to the sheer amount of logistical work on our part of which this legal matter while extremely important was just a small part of our overall work load and scheduled activites was time sensitive. I received a confirmatory text message on Sunday night regarding the scheduled meeting at 2:30 pm the next monday, our day of arrival. Upon arrival at the location of her office listed on her website we were informed that she no longer operated out of that location but the staff provided us with her new office location to which we responded. Upon our arrival at that office location we were informed by that receptionist that Ms. Willett only rented space there and was not on site. A few more attempts were made to contact Ms. Willet went unanswered leaving us to now have to find other legal representation on a last minute basis with no postive results at this time, resulting in an extreme amount of wasted time, money and effort in comming to N.C. in the first place and now necessitating a second trip back down to complete the unfinished business. Ms. Willett's conduct in this matter was not only highly unprofessional by any standards but speaks volumes about her personal work ethic and integrity.

For me, lawyers have been condescending, cold, not empathetic, pompous, pilfering, etc. An attorney is supposed to make you feel better. You should feel like someone has your back. That your confident that the attorney will do their job. If your being bullied, etc. The attorney is suppose to stop the bullying. When the attorney does nothing it makes you feel worse (you already feel horrible, scared, etc). Normally you pay upfront for their service. Now, you feel like your money was stolen from the attorney. It usually is a large amount of money. doesn't matter how much money is paid. i'm a poverty person. an attorney stole my money. no problem stealing from the poor. The job wasn't done and it made u feel worse. An attorney not returning your calls. you could do a call every other day. the attorney doesn't return your call. that makes you feel, worse, worried (is the attorney going to do the job correctly and communicate with me), you may be ripped off, distressed, etc. An attorney has the label "counselor". Just like going to a social worker for "counseling". That worker should make you feel like they care about you, etc. I just got off the phone (i'm not making this up! ) with Nicole. she met all the info. I have talked about in this review.
