Dentist office is no Disneyland, I hate it with passion, it sounds like you are entering a machine shop. What can you do when you are not happy with how your teeth look and have severe overbite which makes mastication painful and dinning out with family a torture. I was referred to Dr. Alikhanian by my lady, so I visited his office. I learned he speaks Russian, Armenian, English and he attempts speaking Persian when you are groggy. He took charge and presented me with a treatment plan. I won't lie, at times it was painful, but his bedside manner was exceptional. His nurses " 3 of them" and himself were putting their soul and heart in treating my condition. When I was sedated all that made me feel safe was that he was present and near. He was, constantly checking on me, asking me how I was feeling, even called me at home to make sure I was doing well. He is no robot when it comes to treating his patients. He has a soft heart, but hands and eyes with Lazer sharp precision and accuracy. They all treated me with respect, love and affection. This was not a business transaction only, but beginning of a long term friendship as well. I also like to thank Stella, Lucy, Asya, they were the icing on the cake. I would like to say that I found this dentist through their reviews. I chose them because of good reviews and have not been disappointed because they have taken care of me since my first visit. Everyone from the doctor to the nurses to the receptionist are all very professional and friendly and genuinely take care of you. The dentists are gentile and always idk if you are okay while they are working on your teeth. The office is very clean as well and so is the bathroom. This dentist is great for my mom and to my mom. My mom had a terrible experience with a previous dentist and the dentures kept her in pain for 5 years. I finally convinced my mom to help me find her a new dentist. Dr Alikhanian was kind, patient and understanding with my mom. He replaced the previous painful one. He then went above and beyond to research for us if she can get the others for the top replaced ( insurance covered)since they were older than 5 years. He was very helpful and my mom is extremely happy. The staff is good at communication with calling or texting. They allow dogs in the waiting room! Street parking is good. They have wifi and TV in the waiting room. Big note!- the waiting room is very small! Only 5 chairs so be prepared. After having had to reschedule several prior appointments with another firm, my son was able to get squeezed in by them, get a late appointment time, and was really taken care of. Recently switched my dentist to someone who is local and had to wait weeks to get an appointment. It's so unfortunate that so many medical and dental practices try to swindle you which is why I always make sure I understand what my insurances cover and my out of pocket fees beforehand. I even have my fee schedule saved on my phone to prove these finaglers wrong. After almost two months of waiting for my appointment because the dentist was on a long vacation smh, I finally come in to this dental office and witness the receptionist (Stella) yelling at someone over the phone and once she got off she had such a nasty attitude towards me, she acted as if me simply checking in was bothersome. Stella was the same way when I called to schedule my appointment, should have taken that as a red flag. Both her and the dentist have no bedside manners and are quick to get you out the door but not before charging you for services that are covered by your insurance. I had to let them know the deal and pulled up my fee schedule and she just shook her head, rolled her eyes, and started stuttering some words and still denying that she was providing me false information. Such an unorganized office with rude staff who should learn good bedside manners and be more friendly. Awesome dentist. Brought my kids here for a check up, cleaning and consultation and it was fast and very productive. They took x-rays and told me everything that was going on with their teeth. I am giving 5 stars to this office, to everyone over there! We were referred to them by one of our friends and we really got lucky. My husband was in a very bad condition (swollen chick, awful sinus infection, etc.) for more than 2 weeks and we were running from one clinic to another to get help...horrible attitude. My new review is a serious warning to anyone who goes here: Dr. Alikhanian is very quick and efficient, but after a friend of mine switched from here to another dentist and found many, MANY issues had been overlooked at Alikhanian's office... I did the same. And had the same exact results. I literally just got out of my appointment minutes ago and went right to Yelp as a warning to anyone else. This office, while quick, may be too quick. I don't usually write reviews but I think people need to know this information. I had my first and only appointment here in early 2014 after switching to a new insurance provide. Everyone at Dr. Alikhanian's office was pleasant and welcoming and I expected this to just be a quick cleaning. However, after the hygienist cleaned my teeth, Dr. Alikhanian came in for an inspection. He informed me I had a total of 8 cavities that required filling. Apart from the shock value of how much this would cost ($500+), I was genuinely surprised at him telling me I needed 8 fillings after having no cavities in the prior 2 years, no tooth pain whatsoever, and no cosmetic damage. I took the xray findings to 2 other dentists in the area who both disagreed with Dr. Alikhanian and did not feel that ANY of the 8 cavities he identified required attention. Long story short, you and your wallet be warned! I know the reviews and certifications look great but, as was the case for me, this dentist will be very aggressive when it comes to convincing you that you need fillings that don't really exist, especially if you're a first time patient. read more

And although Dr. Alikhanian doesn't wear tights and a cape like my childhood dentist, Dr. Super Tooth, he is definitely one of the best dentists I've ever had. He is kind and gentle and very thorough. He constantly checks in on me to make sure I am comfortable. And he never "bullies" me into unnecessary procedures. The dental office itself is great!
