Much to my amazement, this time things went differently--I was attended right away even though I was running ten minutes late. Dr. Marcev apologized profusely for anything that happened during my first visit and assured me he really cares about his patients and the service that they receive. I could tell he really meant it. I was given a refund and also received a complimentary pair of contacts, which was something I didn't expect at all. Wow, I was blown away by their effort to set things right. I highly recommend Dr. Marcev and his team to anyone that wants a friendly and personal experience at the eye doctor. Not only will they do everything in their power to help you see your best but they will do it with care, friendliness and a personal touch. I had the exact same experience as the previous poster except my first visit was with an appointment. The only reason I made the appointment was because the receptionist was incredibly nice and they seemed to be the least inexpensive and closest out of all the eye clinics I had called. I had to wait a good bit to be seen and the whole process took well over three hours for an eye exam. Turns out the total was 127 anyway and I could've either driven downtown and got an eye exam for cheaper or payed 20 to 30 more bucks and skipped the headache. It was the most ridiculous experience period. The employees seemed very disorganized and unprofessional. I was left waiting without being told why or what I was waiting for after the eye exam was finished. I saw plenty of people that were being attended before me that had gotten there after me. When it came to try my contacts on, the place was super cramped and the employees working there made it seem like it was the most complicated thing to accomplish. Unfortunately, I will have to return one more time to get my contacts checked and I can assure you that will be my last.

First, the doctor who performed my mother's cataract surgery did an excellent job. Kiper Nelson is…read morefirst rate. My complaint is about office procedures. This facility books more patients for surgery than they have the space to comfortably handle. Their post-op room accommodates only two patients. Yet, they book patients one after the other. To resolve this problem, Southern Eye Center has the following choices: 1. They could rearrange their use of space to accommodate more post-op patients. . 2. They could book fewer patients. 3. They could rent a larger office building. They did none of that. Instead, I was told that I could not leave the office building because they have had a hard time getting someone back on time and then they have trouble handling the post-op patients. In other words, they thought it was okay to restrict my freedom of movement *without prior notice* in order to help THEM make more money. Of course, this restriction hindered MY ability to make money. If they had told me before, I would have brought something to do. But they did not tell me before. Heaven forbid that they should show some consideration for the people who are helping THEM make money by driving their patients to the office. I had to sit in a waiting room with NO magazines, no TV, no nothing. I think it is lousy that this facility expected me to help them make more money without there being anything in it for me. I was, in effect, working for free. Also, when your freedom of movement is being restricted without financial compensation, you are in jail. When people are being paid thousands of dollars to treat a patient, it is *their* obligation to manage their patient load well. The responsibility should not be mine--someone who is not being paid one red cent. I need cataract surgery soon I will not choose a practice that had so little regard for me, my time, and my money.

I can't even think of a negative comment, everyone at this place treated me like I was family. Cameron Griffith was my doctor, he explained the procedure and answered every question I asked like I was the only person in the clinic. I am writing this review 10 days after procedure and I'm very satisfied, feel like God has given me new eyes. I would recommend this place and procedure for anyone with doubts about where to go and getting it done. Can't say enough good about this place and the staff . I give them a 10+, keep up the good work.

I have just returned from the office of Hattiesburg eye clinic on hospital Drive and really felt I needed to share this experience. I had an appointment originally scheduled for July 14. I went to that scheduled appointment and had been waiting for about an hour and a half. I still had not called in to the back office where I knew I would continue to wait. I had another physician appointment And so I felt I needed to reschedule my original ophthalmology appointment. I rescheduled for August 14 at 2:40. I called them at 8:30 this morning to verify that I indeed had an appointment as I had not received an email. I found that very unusual because I had received a reminder email for the July 14 appointment. When verifying my email, they told me they did not have my email correctly the computer and they would correct that. I was told that I did indeed have an appointment for August 14 at 2:40. When I arrived to the front desk to check in... They could not find my appointment. They found an appointment for me but it was on August 20. I knew I had not made an appointment for August 20 because I will be out of town. The person at the front desk was very kind. She went to the back to discuss this appointment with "someone"She came back and said that I did not have an appointment, but that they would "fit me inafter waiting for so long on July 14... I knew what being "fit in" would look like. I knew I would be waiting for quite some time. I have made another appointment with a different doctor for September. I'm so very disappointed. This office has come so highly recommended to me. I am extremely concerned that their patients are not their first priority at this point. A word of caution to anyone who is attempting to see an eye doctor at Hattiesburg eye clinic... Double check, and triple check your appointment and be prepared to wait no matter what .
