I had the wantan soup which at first tasted lacking in flavor but ended up being really good once I tried the chicken and dumplings inside of my soup. Well, as there is a lack of restaurants around my house area and I felt like something nice for lunch... I came here with a friend to dine The waiters are very nice and since we came early we had been served pretty quick, as starters we took "summer rolls" with tofu and they were really good, impressed! Other thing I wasn't impressed by were the main dishes- the price doesn't fit the size and/or the quality of the food. It was good, by not as good as expected, the chicken's texture was a bit weird and, if you have no other option it's considerable. But that's pretty much it. Really good Vietnamese restaurant in F-hain. Nice decoration, atmosphere and the food is amazing. You pay a bit more then at other Vietnamese places but most of the times it's worth it. The menu is good. We really liked the original starters and the shrimps were of very high quality. We thought the chicken was a bit too much seasoned though, it was very salty. Nice teas! read more

This is not just a good restaurant, but also a vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurant. You can get anything on the menu in a vegan or vegetarian version. The interior is super fresh and you can see the chefs working through a window where the food comes out. The prices are good and the amount of dishes to choose from are just about right. They can play very bad music sometimes. But I'm sure you can ask them to change if you're there with your mom or colleague. The best time of the year is in the summer when you can sit outside. It's just next to Sonntagstr so you can see people but they don't pass you. It's on a calm street. They are very kind and fast. If you want to order take away, you just call them and they'll have your food ready in 10-15 minutes. They giggle when I order because the names are in vietnamese, but that's just cute. If I come early they give me a ginger tea. I just want to hug them! The dish I like the most is Bún Cha Gio, which is a noodle dish with springrolls. Curiosa: Our Canadian neighbors loves that place so much that in some periods, they go there once or twice a day! read more

there is a major lack of resturants in the Nordkiez (northend) of F-hain, which is why i was so happy to find Viet Bowl. the menu offers a nice variety of rice, noodle, soup dishes to very fair prices and the service is friendly and quick. atmosphere is indeed relaxing and modern - only negatives are the slightly uncomfortable backless stools. i would recommend the chicken, mango, lotus salad - slightly spicy, full of flavor! read more

Cheap, great food (first, main dishes + desserts - everything tasted really good (only the soup of my son wasn't really that special, but that was really the only thing we had which wasn't that great :)), nice personnel... I really enjoyed the food, it was fresh and tasty. I mostly order simple vegetable dishes so the cook needs to have a good touch for it to taste good. I was not disappointed with Viet Bowl and would certainly return. The service was also good and fast. They were also friendly about a well behaved dog and let her sit inside under our table. great new find in friedrichshain! i got the bun ga nuong which was a very tasty rice noodle dish with chicken in a coriander-lemongrass broth. very strong flavored, and even a little spice, and the chicken was fried and seasoned (not just boiled/rubbery like most asian places). flavor was not toned down for germans at all. portion was good sized and around 6 euros. my friend goes there for pho regularly but i have a hard time paying 6 euros for pho when it costs $2.50 where i'm from. will definitely return and try some more dishes. read more

fantastic food. I've eaten in a few vietnamese resaurants in Berlin and this was definately my favourite.

Nice relaxing atmosphere, modern/minimal furniture and decoration. Good food at a reasonable price (rice dishes 6-7 Euro).

Nice place to have around the corner. Not really worth a trip on its own.
