I dropped them off at the shop in the morning and they were ready for pickup in a half hour. Cost to sharpen is $6 each, regardless of blade length (so just $24 total). I took them home, washed them up in soapy water and tried them out. The blades pass cleanly through food items with little effort and no loss of juice. Be sure to use a solid wood (Maple, Beech, Teak or Walnut) cutting board, not bamboo, ceramic or glass! This was my first time having these blades professionally sharpened. Typically, I did it myself at home on a whetstone. I bought these knives back in 2015, and I thought that a professional job was long overdue (being correctly sharpened to a 16-degree angle). Went in today, and they are refusing to honor it because they want proof of purchase for a Christmas present from a few years ago. so my mother in law who purchased the gift is now out the $100 and the business just gets to keep free money. Great Service and they honor their product…read more We have a set of Henkel Knifes that I bought over 10 years ago and they have provided great service. One of the best sets of knifes I have ever bought. They have been professionally sharpened several time but the gentleman who provided that service has retired. My wife found these guys and took the knifes in and they did a great job. I had mentioned to her that Henkel Knives come with a lifetime guarantee. One of the standard knifes had a broken tip and when she showed it to them, they confirmed the guarantee and sent the old one off to Henkel so that a replacement could be sent. Somehow the first one got lost in shipping so they had to ship a second time which added to the time but today I picked up the new knife. Profuse apologies about something out of their control but in the end, they ended up with a happy customer.
