I rented the video game bus and it was quite the hit of his party. The process was very easy just needed to sign the contract and pay half upfront and day of the party the other half. Roy was very professional from the get go, he was very thorough and explained the process and answered all my questions. Ahhhhh I am so bummed I can't believe I don't have any pictures of the actual video game bus from the outside. I'm also bummed that I didn't even get the chance to play video games I. He checks in with you to be sure you are comfortable with which games your 7yr old and guests are going to play. He asks about the guests ages. He *cares* about you, your family, your children, and what you feel is content-appropriate for your family and guests. The bus itself is enormous. It has like 6 or 8 huge flat screen TV's inside. Comfy seats all down the inside. Roy brings an *assistant* with him. It's just heaven for the kids--and the parents! He cares about the safety of your guests--not just on the bus, but elsewhere. We worried about rain and wind, so we were looking for something fun for the kids that would keep them entertained, and that was not the traditional indoor party. He showed up on time but stated to complain and make a problem that he couldn't park outside the house and had to park further down the street because he said it was to slope? Last time he came he had no problem parking there. After a little bit he told me that I had too many kids for the price we agreed on. I told him we talked about that and that it was fine as long as it was not more than 24 kids in the bus on the same time. He said we had not discussed that and also that it said in the agreement. Cannot thank Roy enough for coming out today. We booked a different game bus company for my nephews 9th birthday that was a little bit cheaper but had great reviews. When they came, they had none of the games my nephew and his friends wanted to play, even though I asked prior to booking and they said they do. Excellent! What kid wouldn't LOVE a BUS full of video games right in front of their house?!? This was so cool. I know most kids have video games in their house, but how many friends can they have over at any given time to play? 2, 3...? Maybe 4. But someone is always going to have to sit and watch. Who likes just watching someone else play video games? The Video Game Bus can accommodate over 20 kids all playing at the same time! We rented the bus for 2 hours (it's a 2 hour minimum). That was most of the party right there. The bus pulled up, right in front of our house - the kids all lined up - Roy told the kids the rules - the kids entered - the kids played - the adults sat around wondering what to do with themselves since ALL of the kids at the party were busy and having fun. That gave us time to cut the cake, put it on plates, and have grown-up conversations while the kids were comfortably playing in the air-conditioned bus of fun. Roy (the owner) was really nice and easy to deal with. His assistant was nice as well. The bus (a renovated Greyhound) seemed comfortable, and well-maintained. Age range of kids at our party: 5 - 19...oh yeah, we had 1 parent on the bus playing games as well. Most of the kids were in 4th and 5th grade, but the range gives you an idea of who would enjoy playing on the Video Game Bus. I don't know if we'd call Roy again for our boys (only because we try to do something different every year) - BUT I do highly recommend him to everyone else. So many parents at the party were interested in calling him for their parties as well. That gives you an idea of the in-person impression Roy and the Video Game Bus gave everyone. *Parental note: Roy meets with the parent paying the bill before the party to discuss which games/ratings will or will not be allowed during the party.
