I agree sometimes there is a longer wait than I would like, but knowing it ahead of time helps. Once I was a 'regular' and my treatment plan established, the appt. took less time. He specializes in areas I needed, his patient care was worth any wait. He listened to me, was easy to talk to, spoke to me as an adult (very rare w/ most Dr.'s!), not another insurance claim. The only Doctor I've seen in years that worked WITH me, BELIEVED me when I shared my experiences with specific meds, kept me on a continuous treatment plan for as long as it worked. Didn't make me jump through hoops w/ repetitive, needless appts.-a deal breaker for me-wasn't afraid of the big, bad 'insurance companies'. If he's not in when you arrive in a.m., I think he works at a hospital until appt. time. (I have seen this with other Doctors in this field.) His staff were very forgiving of my 'poor attitude' when I was very ill. They were very kind to me.
My insurance co. was sold and closed, so I had to leave for other coverage, or I would STILL be seeing him. I hated leaving, it was so worth it to establish a relationship! When I had to leave, he let me come as a 'cash only' patient to insure my steady, continued treatment. If I was employed, I'd still be going monthly. I hope to return to his practice soon. read more
