Smoke Dreams boasts the biggest collection of alternative and metal band t-shirts I've ever seen in one room outside of Camden. There are some really obscure bands on offer, too, it's not just that they have every Metallica tour t-shirt. It's not just clothing, either, one can buy buttons, flags, patches... if it's been available as band merch, there's a good chance it'll be in this basement. They also sell accessories, and studs to accessorise your accessories. It's an incredibly stocked range of studding options, as well, so this is where I would suggest you go to embellish your op-shop leather.

If desperate and in the city (great location), or want to see what they have then purchase elsewhere, perhaps. My friend's and I purchase a huge amount of accessories and keep buying online, and I figured if these guys were at least competitive, then we should buy local while in Melbourne darn, I was wrong :-( Also did not feel very welcoming either.
