The one thing that stands out for me with them seems to be the guy who looked at my car about two summers ago. Our car's check engine light came on and began stuttering while we were in the Target parking lot. If you depressed the gas pedal it would run fine so it seemed to be an issue when the car was idling. We took it here and they gave us possibilities of what could be the issue and said they'd look at it. About 15 minutes later a man comes out holding one of the spark plug wires and let us know that one of the connections has some moisture in it. Stated he would clean up the wire for free and only charge for taking a look at it. This is the only automotive business that I have had a positive experience with since I moved up here in 2003. I hope that when I gave this employee warm praise to his supervisor he was commended for it as this seems to be a very rare trait to find in this town.. Edit: Spelling

Once I left and made it to the other side of town, I noticed I had a flat passenger side, rear tire. Called immediately and got a reply from their manager that I must have driven over a nail or something. I told him that would be coincidental and I made my way back to the store. Turns out they broke the valve stem somehow and I would need to purchase a new one but they don't carry them. The guy (non-manager) was polite and did fix it temporarily enough to get home but not what I was looking for when getting an oil change. Now I get to make an appointment and pay extra money to get it fixed at a certified tire store.

My wife and I recently did our fall cabin trip to Walker Minnesota, and on the way back near Garrison Minnesota, the bearings went out on my boat trailer tire, stranding us on the side of a very busy two lane highway. We called autosmith and got driver Tyler, who came down and loaded our boat and trailer onto his truck and took it a mile up the road to a gas station to drop it until we worked out a way to get it back to the Minneapolis twin cities area. Once we set up a new account with AAA, we set up a tow from Garrison Minnesota down to the twin cities to get my boat to my shop to redo the bearings and put new tires on. We were fortunate enough to get driver Tyler again, to bring the boat down to the twin cities I want everybody at autosmith, and anyone who reads this, to know, that driver Tyler for this company is an exceptional employee, who exhibited not only professionalism, but compassion for the situation we were in, was personable, and handled both tows with incredible expertise and professionalism, and took a huge load off our minds for everything we were dealing with on our way back from the cabin.
