I have gotten two fantastic tattoos from legendary tattoo artist, Jake Hodson. One was an original piece, the other a much needed touch up of a not so good tattoo. My friend and I came here as walk-ins on a Sunday around 12:30pm. We decided to come here because the reviews looked really good and we didn't need reservations. They weren't busy and were able to take us right away. We signed the waiver form and then they took us back. We were just getting simple matching tattoos on our wrist of numbers. We were able to text a picture of the numbers to their phone for them to print and make the stencil. The guys were super nice and chill. Our tattoo artist has been doing it for 15 years. He was very good and the place itself was very clean. I def recommend this place! It was $120. They provide you an "After Care" card for instructions which is nice too. I'm not sure how bigger more detailed tattoos are, but I highly recommend! read more

Came in on a last minute whim while doing a city tour and one of the stops was here at the Marathon MotorWorks building. Really love the entrance to the shop with plenty of art as you walk in to give you ideas (if you're not sure what to get). Gave the artists an idea of what we were looking for (XXIV) and after a quick back and forth, we were started on. Shout out to Emil and Frank for taking care of us. The piercing girl charged $38 to remove one earring from my ear. Literal insanity. She didn't tell me that the fee was that much until after the earring was removed. I told her it was a threaded earring and she argued with me then proceeded to try to yank it apart over and over again. She finally figured out that it was in fact threaded and she started twisting it apart. She threw my earring on her dirty metal table then put it back into my ear so we could go and look at her tiny collection of neometal at the front. The selection sucked and her things weren't sterilized, so I paid and left. read more

Evan did an awesome job. We were walk ins that decided last minute to get tattoos with our granddaughter. Couldn't think about it last night but today when we were heading out of town. They were honest about what they could and could not do, but still completely happy with our design. Our granddaughter is stationed at Ft Campbell and we have really got to see the amazing young woman since she came to Tennessee. So for us we got the tri star of the Tennessee flag symbolizing one for Rachel of us and our special time in Tennessee. We are grateful they got us in and got them done beautifully. My two girlfriends from my time In the Army came to Nashville so we could spend some time together, and part of the weekend included a session at Victory Tattoo. We wanted to all get the same design that would signify the importance of our relationship. Two of us had never had a tattoo before so there was a lot of apprehension and nerves. From the initial conversation via email with one of the staff to the end of our sessions, everything was handled with care and professionalism. Our artist was fantastic at distracting us from focusing on the pain with conversation, and worked quickly. The place is immaculate and well run. The artist even gave us a fantastic suggestion for dinner, which we followed through on, and were extremely pleased with. We also were very happy with the fact that they do not book more than two months in advance, so people actually are able to go and get their design rather quickly compared to others that I contacted prior to choosing them. On a trip from Seattle recently I was thrifting in the area with some friends and we had casually talked about getting tattoos on our trip. Coincidentally, this shop is right next to a very fun thrift store so we went in and asked if they had time for 3 quick walk-ins. They said yes and Mia busted out three little cowboy boots for us. Had an excellent experience with Victory last July when I had some work done by Mia. Communication was fantastic with Emily who was handling Mia's appointments and was able to take my references and bring them to life. The shop itself was super clean and accommodating. Upon arrival, Mia was very welcoming and professional through the entire process. I had a couple of modifications to what she had drawn up that she was completely open to making, and from then on the entire appointment was smooth sailing! I had a very nice experience here. They were friendly, professional and clean but I can't morally give them an amazing review and i hate that! I woke up this morning with huge buyers remorse because this tattoo cost me $150.00 with a $10.00 tip. I've went to multiple shops and they have all agreed this is a house minimal tattoo and should have not cost more than $60-$80 max. I've been trying to justify paying what I did and I sure If they are taking advantage of it being tax season or if it was difficult for her?? But either way I won't personally be back. I wish I could say differently because I'm in love with the tattoo. It's great work but extremely over priced. If you have money like that though, it's a great shop! read more

My husband and I had a great experience here last week. Due to childcare needs, we opted to make an appointment and pay a deposit ahead of time. Charlie only required one deposit for the two of us which was nice. When we arrived, Ian had our designs sketched out--they looked even better than we expected! The shop was very, very clean (I even checked the bathroom) and everyone was polite, friendly, and professional. Ian made us feel comfortable... We were getting our first tattoos and didn't know what to expect but the overall experience was fantastic. I also really appreciated that we were charged less than the budget we gave them--so even knowing what we WOULD spend and knowing that we were newbies, we weren't taken advantage of. I have no idea if we'll get more tattoos in the future but I would definitely return here if we do! read more

Me and my girlfriend stopped in to try and get a walk in tattoo. We asked to see some of their flash art Bc we wanted to get something smaller sized and it was more of a spontaneous decision. Unfortunately The guy at the counter was the most rude person I've ever encountered at a tattoo shop. Idk if he hated his life that day or what but after the 5th sentence that came out of his mouth, We closed the binder and left. His demeanor was aggressive and impatient even tho we were only in there for maybe 2 mins. It was clear that we shouldn't let these people tattoo us. Although I was a walk in last evening (a Wednesday) I only had to wait 45 minutes for Matt to finish the tattoo he was working on before he could start on mine. I asked for a small and unoriginal design. He executed it flawlessly. TBH, I was prepared to be balked at for my choice of design and its simplicity, but there was none of that. They take walk-ins, which is great, especially since no matter which artist you get paired with, It's pretty much guaranteed that they will do a better job than you could ever imagine. Really clean work, reasonable prices, and again, just a really great staff. They take their time sketching to make sure you have a great design and are sure to discuss pricing and everything right off the bat so you already know what you're looking at before a needle touches your skin. Went too Victory Tattoo while visiting from Ca. My brother and I loved Nashville so much and all the music we though what the heck. Let's add too our tattoo collection. We looked into best shops in Nashville and this kept popping up. Went too 1st location and was told by the manager they could not fit us in before our flight out a few days later but there other location could. We went there and made appointments w/ a deposit down. Next day we arrive a bit early. Spoke too the receptionist which was a young man from Orange County... felt at home since I live in San Diego. Our artist was Evan. A nice, sweet guy. I had him place a electric guitar on my right lower leg with Nashville underneath. I just had him do black w/ a bit of shading. I loved it!! I may have it colored in when it heals but happy. In the end... Evan is a very talented guy. Great personality. The shop was immaculate. Super clean and sterile. I would see Evan again for sure if back in the most beautiful city of Nashville!!! Yes, I would recommend them. Update: 5/6/21 my tattoo has healed amazingly! 1st tat I have not have not had one issue with... no pain, redness nothing. Kinda forgot it was there except the caring for it.
