Victory successfully won my case for SSDI, after 3 years of me being denied benefits from SSA. I am a 100% disabled vet who had to leave a high profile position due to PTSD/BiPolar in 2017. After 3 years of denials ( how can state overrule federal (the military) disability determination?) I just gave up on the whole SSA filing, I was very discouraged.
In 2020 I got a letter in the mail from Victory, saying that they had picked up my case because they believed it was winnable. They let me know that it could take up to 2 yrs, but they were confident, and I decided to work with them, though I was still doubtful. It's baffling to go on the medical appointments and see a "doctor" or "therapist " for an evaluation that typically lasts only minutes, and have them make a disability decision about over 40 years of my life! But that's how the SSA system works, don't consider my 22yrs of "honorable" service and sacrifice to my country, but the word of medical folks who probably didn't graduate top of their class.
Anyhow, it took 2 years, and Victory won my case, a total of 5yrs of dealing with the SSA. I wish I had known about Victory in 2017, my financial struggles would not have been so difficult. I did not agree with the back pay I received from SSA, but I know when to hold'em and when to fold'em, and I wasn't about to mess up my blessing; I was happy just know that now my monthly income would allow me to pay off debt and live more comfortably
Victory improved my life. They were up front in saying it's would be a long fight, but assured me that they believed we could win, and we did. A little more communication would have be better, but I'm a squeaky wheel, and if I hadnt heard from them in awhile, I would call or email, and get a response within a reasonable amount of time.
I have already recommended Victory to veteran friends who are, or have unsuccessfully dealt with the SSA. I knew I wasn't their only client, and they set the expectations and timeliness right from the start of our partnership. Victory's promise to me was "we can win, it will take time, and they would fight for me all the way through." The goal is to get our benefits. Victory can't make a dollar amount judgement, SSDI is based on the amount of SS tax an individual has paid during their work history. That information is easily found on the SSA.GOV website. No person will get the same as another person. Benefit amount is based individually
Well Done Victory, you improved my life! read more
