PROS: good amount of inventory, prices are usual for a nursery, parking is plentiful, and plants are well taken care of CONS: there guy working there had an attitude with us. As if he didn't want to be there or be bothered OVERALL: avoid the gentleman and you'll be fine with the store read more

Worst customer service ! Go to metropolitan flowers right around the corner . Lovely owners and way better selection

I drive there on sunday Website says open 10 am to 4pm ok on blanch road it says OPEn Sunday Ok ready and happy to shop : Well. It's closed -all gates shut . Waste of time and gas .. not good read more

Large selection friendly staff very knowledgeable , great new location. Does landscaping ideas and projects.

Outstanding customer service! They also have a ton of great options at great prices. I was searching for the right perennials for my backyard, and they gave me their expertise about sun and care guidelines, which made my decision super easy. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Great selection at competitive pricing! The service was terrific as well; I appreciated the insights and advice they gave me. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back! read more

Amazing service! I really appreciated all the advice that was given, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. They have competitive pricing and a stellar selection. I will for sure stop by again! read more

Terrific to work with, very kind, and went above and beyond in giving expert advice that proved very helpful.

We bought two trees last November and had them planted excited to see the spring show of leaves. One of them is completely dead on top. When I called and spoke to the woman with an accent that answered the phone to tell them , expecting they would replace the tree, she couldn't have been nastier. She shut me down immediately stated she was the owner and yelled, verbatim "WE DO NOT STAND BY OUR PRODUCTS." Go somewhere, anywhere else, this place sucks. Wish I would have actually read all of the bad reviews before I wasted money giving it to such nasty people. Buyer Beware read more

Victoria's Nursery - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Closter, New Jersey

I've been a patron of Victoria's nursery for a fifteen years. Always my go to with the best growers, customer service and standing by their products. Even for the plantings that I do for neighbors and friends I use Victoria's. I can no longer recommend them. I bought a $500 tree in June and within three weeks the lower portion of one side turned brown. The branches are dead and the pine needles are dropping. After their main guy came out to look he said we should give it few more weeks. Suffice to say that despite my following up every week throughout summer the nursery is saying since it's not dying they won't replace. I explained the issue wasn't whether it was dead but that this tree would not have been sold off lot if it'd looked like this at point of sale which is why I contacted them so early. Now I've got an eye sore where the focal point of my new patio was to be. Worst part is constantly being blown off, no communication and not taking my calls. I'd not known Jeff (owner) or his brother to be like this. read more

Victoria's Nursery - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Closter, New Jersey

See all

This is a huge nursery (in season) that carries an extraordinary inventory of trees and shrubs at reasonable prices. But beware: their inventory sells out rapidly because they sell primarily to landscapers (who can be rude and pushy btw) so if you see something you want -- grab it quick because if you don't, some landscaper will buy out the whole dang lot. I purchased a dozen 7 foot arborvitae, and they had 100 trees available when I got there, but only 25 available 10 minutes later (and at that, I had to compete with landscapers to get mine). The owner (Jeff) is helpful and polite, and the staff is mostly knowledgeable and friendly - but they all got some hard bark on them. If you can stand your ground around tradespeople, this is a great resource. Top Tip: If you want service with a smile, a wink and a pat on your butt, go elsewhere. read more

Victoria Nursery boasts a wide variety of amazing plants. However, be cautious of their employees. They initially claim that delivery and planting cost 50% of the plant price, but upon arrival, they ask for additional money. Once you pay them, they disappear and not get back to you. read more

THIS IS A ABSOLUTE DO NOT BUY HERE!!!! They are very dishonest!!!! Tell you one thing and you buy a groupon and then they do not honor what price they told you!!! BEWARE!!!! read more

Great selection of plants and trees. Purchased a beautiful crape myrtle months ago and it bloomed beautifully this summer. Staff was super helpful and very nice. read more

After dealing with the ladies terrible service at the desk. my car got hit at their lot, less than 5 mins at the location. Incredible ! I should of payed more attention to the other reviews. read more

Love Jeff and long time crew! Great selection Has everything Contractor focused but consumer friendly! Fun selection of pots and decorative garden pieces Staff put all in your trunk Just pass through cash or credit read more

Upon arrival my granddaughter and I were immediately approached by a sales associate. I told her I needed plantings for a cemetery plot to which the deer are not attracted. Not knowing, she asked a fellow coworker. Since I was doing the digging myself, I had to downsize to flowering plants in a smaller pot. Another employee assisted me and also chose a small plant for my 5-year old granddaughter. Everyone was so pleasant and extremely helpful. The plants were carried to my car in a box so as not to dirty my vehicle. We both left completely happy with our visit. I highly recommend this nursery. read more

Wow...went back to Victoria's , after 8 years. And you know what...Sue the Owner/cashier... well let's just say she has become an ever more Rotten Individual throughout the years! You cannot even ask her a simple question without her cutting you off half way and giving you some uncooked for snooty answer! Let's just say, I learned my lesson and would rather drive a few more miles to another nursery where I will get some respect! And be treated with kindness! Sue, go get some education in customer respect!!! read more

I love shopping here. The Prices and the overall selection that they have is fantastic. The owners and staff is always so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I have been shopping here for well over a year now and have always had a lovely shopping experience each and every time I go. Everything is outside which makes it an enjoyable experience, especially with all the madness going on. You can pick out what you want and everything is packed right into your vehicle. read more

Please do not shop there. You have been warned. Find a nursery that actually cares about its customers. The garden staff are great but the cashier Sue and owner arw just horrible. I shop perennials there every spring, summer and fall. An avid gardener. As I checked out I casually and playfully asked for a discount since I come often. Why not ask it's harmless even if they don't say yes. The owner checked me out and said she's "never seen me before, I'm here everyday, and I would only get a discount if I was a landscaper." Imagine snooty and disrespectful. Okay that's fine but I told her the cashier would recognize me and Sue said straight to my face said "no I don't recognize you". If you come every few weeks how do you not recognize someone. She's never been kind or friendly to me anyway or even says thank you when I pay. The only thing that makes me come back is that it's close and the garden staff are always kind and helpful. As I left I spoke to a one of the gardening staff helping me put my plants into my car who said he did recognize me and told him my story. He said "your mad about not getting a discount?" I said "I'm upset about the lack of principle based on good customer service and being kind." He said "Im sure they didn't mean it" which was some consolation. But never for a second were either of the two apologetic for not offering a discount, or sincere in their mannerism or professionalism. People like him are the ones that make gardening fun and enjoyable, it's the rude and heartless owner and cashier who don't care one bit. Gardening is about life, growth and beauty, why not exhude that in your customer relationships? read more

Just a word to anyone buying plants, trees or shrubs this spring.. WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT GO to Victoria's Nursery on paramus road. I had some plants put in and 1/2 of then died within 4 months and when we spoke to the owner he basically said "oh well that's to bad" We asked if he backed up the product he sells and he said that once it leaves he's no longer responsible and that if I wanted I can buy some more and see how they do.. So needless to say this place is on the DO NOT BUY LIST Victoria's Nursery read more

Sofia M. I recently purchased some perennials. I was followed around by an employee who didn't know a thing about plants, and stood watching me the entire time. Very weird and not the way I shop. The blond woman at the register was extremely rude at check-out. Well I purchased 7 plants, and after having them professionally planted, they failed to thrive, and were basically dead. However, they would not return them, apparently, not their policy! In addition to being way overpriced and beyond rude, they don't guarantee their products! Never again! Would a little common courtesy, and a guarantee on the item sold, be such a big deal! The owners should be ashamed of the way they run a business. People do not deserve to be treated so poorly. read more

ABSOLUTELY APPALLED! When it comes to customer service, don't expect it here. Called to inquire about making a large purchase for delivery. I was working with the owner, I believe her name is Sue, and she was completely unprofessional, rude and sarcastic. Absolutely did not care about my business or me as a consumer whatsoever. It was more important to her to let me know she needed a "hand massage" than it was to have my business, as she said, she didn't care if I went somewhere else. Support a business that cares, do not support these people! read more

Huge selection and great if you need really big sizes as well. Its seems like a place for serious landscapers but it has a vast selection of flowers and shrubs as well. Bought a bunch of things but was a bit on the pricey side. read more

Pros: has a variety of trees Cons: overpriced and poor service We purchased two different sets of trees at two separate times. The first died right away, regardless of proper maintenance and care. The second tree also immediately withered. It is understandable that there are a range of problems in tree maintenance, but their staff showed uncertainty in the care of trees. When we asked them about our withered tree, we provided them with pictures of said tree. They first reacted in saying that we had not watered it enough, then when told we had properly watered it, they changed by saying that we had watered it too much. Perhaps they are kinder to wholesale buyers rather than personal buyers. read more

I arrived at the Nursery looking for the tallest christmas tree I could find and I was able to find 12 feet plus here...even up to 24 feet! We also bought a wreath! They are open until 10 pm amazingly! Before we knew it they had securely strapped the tree to our car! Expect fresh trees at premium prices. We have also purchased trees for our yard here with great success. Again expect great service, fresh quality trees at premium prices. read more

Came here to change up where I buy summer garden stuff since Metropolitan was annoying me. Good selection and couple of people I talked to where helpful. Really wanted a fig tree and blueberry bush that was 2 years old or 3. Was told they sell those, only down side. Other than that I picked up some flowers and veggies which seemed in pretty good condition. read more

Picked up 5 yards of hardwood mulch. Was very happy with the prices they had. Only issue I found was about 7 medium sized pieces of asphalt in the mulch, but it wasn't anything I couldn't throw to the side and dispose of myself. Overall I am very pleased with the price, and quality of the material. I would go back again. read more

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. They are INSANELY rude, condescending and just plain unprofessional. After spending the entire morning there, everyone from the employees (whom we weren't even working with!) to the owner talked down to us for simply asking for an additional 5% discount after racking up a $10,000 bill. A simple no would have sufficed and we would have still gone through with the transaction but an employee simply passing by called us "crazy" and told us to get off the line. Then the OWNER came out and doubled down on the shocking disrespect by continuing to dress us down over a simple question! At the end, the rudest cashier I have ever dealt with told us to "go to Home Depot". This place doesn't deserve your hard earned money. I'm still completely shocked and appalled by the way we were treated. The only bright spot at this disaster of an establishment was a very nice employee named Jack who was very kind and knowledgeable. read more

Had numerous great experiences with the staff at Victorias. There double cut mulch is fantastic and the selection of flowers and trees is over the top. Will be back for more. read more

Disorganized. Never call you back. Complete chaos at the nursery. Serious chaos. Like someone will get run over chaos. They need to have a separate area for deliveries and a dedicated person for it bc the lady in the front is just rude. Terrible customer service and they lost our loyalty. Moving on... read more

Bought a tree there last year & when we purchased it there were some sparse spots where leaves should be & I was told it's the beginning of the season & the tree is in shock but it will come back next year. Tree was several hundred dollars.he said if it didn't grow in to come back. Less than a year later we went back 3 times & called 3 times. No one ever bothered to call or show even though they said they would. With such lousy service & poor quality's went to Eisels & they were great. Guy from Eisels said they never should have sold that to us but he was so good he told us what to do to revive it. Go to Eisels nursery $ AVOID this place. They're also overpriced & only give the discount to landscapers. Groupon is a come on. read more

They dont accept returns or guarantee the growth of their trees as other nurseries do. also, as you're shopping their guys will approach you about planting the trees at your home. i hired them to do so and they took days to come by and deliver and plant the trees. i agree with the negative reviews. read more

Nice selection that is overpriced. Employees have attitudes at Register and over phone. Have found much better prices elsewhere. Buyer beware. read more

This place has a great selection of trees and shrubs so come here if you want to find a substantial addition for your yard. They also will deliver and plant the (large) item for you at a reasonable rate. They had good selection of well developed perennials and lots of annuals. Not too much in the exotic or unusual thou. The service is excellent and the people will help you find what you need. read more

Have had no problem using a Groupon here. I had one last year and my husband used one last week. We did fine using them. We do feel, however, they are overpriced as many nurseries are. Can't comment on the tree and shrub problems that many customers have experienced. We spent our Groupon on flowers. I have also brought many items at Eisele'e also in Paramus and have had positive experience every time there. read more

As a Landscaping contractor I love coming here. They have the best selection and quality around!

This store was located in Tenalfy a lot of years ago and now they are in Paramus. It seems that all the landscapers around Bergen county go to them (and his brother has another one near by as well). They have some good stuff but timing is everything - or someone else will buy what you want right under your nose. The price is not cheap but it has the variety and the stuff that you can't find in the big box home improvement stores. read more

My first time there, everyone very nice, prices good, Sue & owner were great, will be back

The nursery has a lot of trees and bushes. Lots of varieties. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are lots of people working to help you. Great place, I have gone back twice since the season started. read more
