Her positive attitude, assertiveness, caring demeanor, and humble spirit made things so much easier. I felt very calm in her presence, like I was confiding in a trusted friend. She has superior knowledge and years of extensive experience in her field, yet never intimidates and makes you feel right at home in her office. She's easy to talk to and just an overall great human being and an awesome attorney! Heaven forbid I ever need a lawyer again, but I would absolutely seek her counsel again for any other legal need and encourage everyone to do the same!! Many thanks again, Jan!! : )

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with the Buescher Law Firm in Mesa, AZ, and…read morespecifically with Jan Buescher, was so poor that I feel compelled to warn others. From the start, I found Jan Buescher to be extremely temperamental and entitled. She gave the impression of being kind and caring, but my experience was the exact opposite. Unless you constantly push her to take action, nothing gets done. She took my money and, in my opinion, did absolutely nothing to move my case forward. If you question her or her lack of progress, be prepared to be reprimanded rather than helped. When I could no longer afford to pay more, she found a way to drop me as a client--even though she had done little to nothing for my case. Her hours of operation are practically nonexistent, and she is almost impossible to reach. The office is run more like a strange academy than a professional law firm. Jan does not have a "team" as advertised. There is one paralegal and a part-time secretary, both of whom are extremely difficult to get a hold of and, frankly, not very pleasant to deal with. To make matters worse, I later discovered that Jan Buescher was actually disciplined by the Arizona Bar in 2019, receiving an admonition and probation for professional misconduct. Had I known this before, I would never have hired her. I ended up filing a complaint with the Arizona Bar Association myself, and I would do it again without hesitation. In my opinion, Jan Buescher cannot be trusted to represent her clients' best interests. I strongly urge anyone considering this firm to look elsewhere.

Worked directly with Cotto, this review is form first hand experience…read more Mrs. Cotto's legal practice and methods are From my experience are less than ethical. She is not board certified in any discipline of the Law. A Board Certified Specialists are lawyers who have been recognized by the State Bar as demonstrating superior knowledge, skill, integrity, professionalism and competence in a specific area of law. Mrs, Cotto has had a career all over the board as a public defender and now family law. Mrs. Cotto is not from the United States and is completely unaware of how our sophisticated culture works. In my experience she is more likely to try and drive up client billable hours as supposed to attempt to reach amicable solutions. In my experience Mrs. Cotto employed bulling tactics and will attempt to intimidate and push you around. It's almost comical. She dose not speak English as a first language. The problem is if you have children, Mrs. Cotto's tactics in the long run created incredible duress on all parties involved. The out come will be less than desirable when it's all over and she is paid. If you want your spouse to suffer and allow the process to destroy any hopes of an amicable relationship and eliminate any hopes to create a healthy environment for the future of your children then Mrs. Cotto is your attorney. My experience with Mrs. Cotto's clients is they do not abide by court orders and injunctions. I though attorneys were suppose to uphold the integrity of the courts and the orders they hand down? '

I was introduced to Sonja Duckstein about five or six years ago, and since then, I've reached out…read moreto her multiple times--for myself and for others--for various consultations. Each time, Sonja has proven to be an incredible resource: calm, clear, responsive, and genuinely on your side. Most recently, I experienced one of the scariest moments of my life--A dozen police officers showed up at my home, guns drawn, yelling for me to come out. They had a search warrant. After a long twenty minutes turned out the search warrant was for an individual I had rented the guest house to. In the middle of the chaos, the only person I could think to call was Sonja. True to form, she picked up immediately. Her calm demeanor and steady voice helped me breathe. She listened carefully, explained exactly what was happening, told me what my rights were, and walked me through the steps I needed to take. Just knowing she was there, guiding me through it, made a huge difference. Situations like these don't just test your nerves--they test your trust in the people you turn to for help. I've always been a tough critic when it comes to reviews (usually I only write them when I'm unhappy), but I can say without hesitation that I have 100% confidence in recommending Sonja. She's one of the very few people I trust fully, and she's earned that trust over and over again. My divorce was unexpectedly contentious, and when costs started to rise as a result, Dan was very transparent and helped keep the costs down. I reviewed every invoice and never felt unfairly charged. I do recommend that for anyone concerned about costs, don't waste chargeable hours by coming in unprepared, regardless of what lawyer you use! Without the integrity, focus and skill of Dan's team, I'm convinced we never would have gotten the outcomes that we did. Dan was careful not to over-promise and managed realistic expectations. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough, and this clearly paid off several times in the courtroom when "curve balls" were thrown. His courtroom manner and agility greatly outclassed the opposing counsel that we faced. At the end of this unexpectedly large battle, I was extremely satisfied with the wins that were achieved.
