2 American girls, fluent in Italian, enter a…read morerestaurant after a long day of driving, ready to chow down on a pizza and some typical cheeses of the area.
They are brought to a dark room, sequestered in a separate area of the restaurant from the other parties. Server arrives and immediately interrogates them on where they are staying, aggressively gathering all the information about their B&B, clearly displeased that they are staying somewhere that competes with his own B&B.
Girls ask for some wine, a small cheese appetizer, a little mozzarella, some ricotta, etc, and a few cherry tomatoes before they order the pizzas. Waiter comes back shortly with 2 MASSIVE plates of cheese, a huge plate of tomatoes, sets them down and walks away. Clearly way too much food for an appetizer. Imagine a fist-sized ball of mozzarella each, a massive dollop of ricotta, and equally daunting portions of 3 other cheeses. Waiter never comes back, so they just tuck in to the cheese as they're starving. Clearly deluded, the girls give up on pizza, flag down waiter, order another bottle of house white to drown their sorrow, and ask for the check. Questo paraculo di cameriere brings a check book, upon opening it there is merely a post-it note with 40Euros written on it. Couldn't you have just told us that number instead of wasting the paper to feign some semblance of legality and professionalism?
Unless you want to be treated poorly, mocked, overcharged, shoved in a dark room at the side of the restaurant to be ignored, and eat pretty basic fare then avoid this place.
On the bright side, they do have Wifi.
