It was a happening place. Our choice was a media noche sandwich which was good the pork was tender and homemade, beautiful ham slice, pickles mustard cheese on an egg bun served steamed/grilled. Stopped in right after a 5K race, so expectations were simple. The place looks great. Bright, clean, festive, and packed with pastries that immediately test your willpower. Tons of sweet and savory options, and the staff was moving fast even with a busy crowd. I went with a breakfast croissant and that's where it fell a bit short. Flavor was fine, but it was very greasy. Like, napkin-per-bite greasy. Post-race hunger got me through it, but it wasn't a standout. Overall, solid spot with lots of tempting options. When you walk in be ready for loud Hispanic music. The pastries and cakes look fabulous. They have a huge selection of deliciousness in the display cases. I ordered a croissant egg and bacon breakfast sandwich and a coffee with half and half. The sandwich and coffee were great. Maybe a little too much butter for some people. My complaint was that there was zero toilet paper on the ladies room. And the garbage can, when you walk in, was full. No room for any more garbage. That's a no- no in my book. Great sandwich, more than enough for two people. Bread was the best part (warm, crusty, and fresh). The lechon (pork) was roasted and also really good. My only complaint was that the ham was cold and kind of threw off the flavor and sandwich along with the Swiss cheese that wasn't really melted. Still I'd order another. Honestly i am so thankful to have a little piece of Miami up here. It's a home away from home for me. I moved to PSL about a year ago and spending nearly 10 years in NY and my whole upbringing in SOFL i was not to fond of the idea to live in PSL. So thankful for Gems like these coming more north. The service is amazing they were so kind and loved to admire my newborn. (She is adorable so i don't blame them. Lol) The coffee and the pastelitos were amazing. very rarely give anything lower than five stars but they put people on the espresso machine and they have no clue what they're doing my coffee con Leche tasted like garbage it tastes like they mixed old coffee with it. I don't ever complain, but this was bad which is disappointing because last time I came here it was amazing very inconsistent. They need to train people before they put them on that machine. Other than that. The food is always great. The people here are really nice. In the ambiance isn't bad either. We like this spot they just need to train people how to use that machine. I come in to pick up an order and stood as the only person at the pick up counter for ten minutes before any of three people standing behind the counter doing nothing even acknowledged I was there. When finally asked if I had a pick up, I said yes and gave my name, and one of the people doing nothing points to my order and says I just finished it, but neither him nor the person who asked me brings the order to me. Another eight minutes standing there before the one who says he finished my order asks me again why I am there and finally hands me my order. I have yet to be at this location without having an issue. read more

My daughter ordered two of their meal plates to say it was terrible is a under statement I got pork ,a.e with ri,e beans and plantain suppose to come with garlic sauce and I ordered extra got no sauce no beans plantains hard pork dry because no sauce yuck!! Daughter got palomino steak that was so well done looked like a piece of jerky she also did not receive any sauce...ordered a piece of flan cheesecake had no flavor. This store needs authentic customer service. Walk into any store in Miami and behind the counter you have no less than 5 attendees waiting to take your order, box in hand. You are in and out usually in 5 minutes. Every time I come to this store I end up having to wait longer than 10 minutes. I ordered a rather simple order from this establishment, 2 Cuban Sandwiches, 2 cafe con leche, 1 slice Dulce du leche cheesecake for an 11:20 am pick up the following day. I got a confirmation text and then at 5:02 am I got a text informing me that my order was ready for pick up! Huh? I showed up at 11:10am for my pick up. The kid behind the counter asked me if it was just the two coffees. I show him my confirmation text and let him know what I was there to pick up. He grabbed the cheesecake first and started on the coffees. Then brought them to me and told me it would be just a minute for the sandwiches. Ok........almost 20 minutes later he finally gave me the sandwiches. I asked him why would a person even bother to order ahead if you can't make an order to be ready upon arrival. Isn't that the point? To expedite the process?? BTW, the coffee was cold, the cheesecake room temp and the sandwiches were barely warm. My friend and I have both had WAY better Cuban sandwiches, cafe con leche, AND dulce du leche at "family" owned Cuban restaurants. What a disappointment. read more

We came in to order my daughter's 13th birthday cake. She was having trouble deciding on what she wanted and the baker came out and helped her order everything she wanted the cake came out gorgeous. I was excited to try this place as it looked modern, clean and welcoming. After a 20 minute drive I loved the strip mall it was located within as there was plenty of parking and the space was very welcoming and bright. Service was very friendly and thorough and I appreciated that the staff was happy to explain the offerings in both English and Spanish-they seemed to really be proud of their roles. However, the food was so so in my opinion. Traditionally, I don't consume Cuban style cuisine so this could just not be for ME. We ordered the guava cheese pastry, fried flan pastry, cheese croquettes, meat ham&cheese pastry and coconut lemonade. The fried flan pastry was too watery and mushy and overly sweet, I would've thought the flan filling was enough but being doused in sauce and powder sugar took it over the top. The meat ham&cheese pastry had an interesting taste but what bothered me was the cheese looked stale as it was on the yellowed hard side...and the lemonade was way too sweet as well. Overall, this is just not for me but for those who like this vibe I think it would be great. Pricing and portions in my opinion were fair. read more

I have been to many of there locations. Miami and West Palm. I was super excited to show my partner this location near her. I love their bakeries down south. It started off at the register. We order we both have Christmas sweaters on. The lady as if we were headed to a sweater party. We said no church. My sister in law was with us and then she asked where she was going. We said same place. She had on a dress. Then told us we look like we are going to two different places. Why that matters is beyond me or why she cares is also beyond me just a weird starter for a conversation. So we ordered a glazed croissant which didn't turn out glazed. So I stated it was made incorrectly. They grabbed it took it back smacked glazed on it. Instead of remaking it. So now I was left with a soggy croissant. They hand me the bag and I leave. I bit into it and boom SOGGY ! Then as I looked the bacon isn't cooked all the way. The egg is like a dark color as if they were making it in the same old grease and not cleaning the pan. It was greasy soggy and gross. What I ate of it after thinking about it.. it all came back up. Especially with an empty stomach at 8/9 am. The worst Vickey Experience ever. She was distracted by a young guy that obviously didn't want to be there and she had to bark orders to him to get him to do something. I guess I wasn't worth a smile. You may have decent Cuban pastries, but the old school Cuban hospitality goes a long way and these people have a lot to learn. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I was born and raised in South Florida, so I'm very familiar with Vicky Bakery in Miami--where the food and coffee are consistently great. Unfortunately, the PSL location is mediocre at best. I've been there multiple times only because I happened to be in the area running errands, but I won't be going back. The coffee has been awful every single time. The first time I ordered a sandwich, it came in separate parts: tostada, egg, and ham all wrapped individually. What was that about? After putting it together myself, I wished I had just eaten the tostada. The ham was undercooked, and the egg was completely flavorless. My last visit was just for a loaf of Cuban bread, and it was brown and dry. Please, stop the madness, Vicky's. To be fair, I'll add one positive: the guava pastries were pretty good, so not all hope is lost. But Vicky--please go back to Miami and get with Mima for some refresher courses. Those of us who know true Cuban delicacies are very disappointed. read more

I've waited years for Vicky Bakery to expand from Miami and was very disappointed. I ordered a pastry platter for Christmas Eve expecting the same sweet, well-filled pastries I've enjoyed for years. Unfortunately, what I received were dry, under-filled pastries that felt unfinished. The next day, my aunt brought pastries from the Miami location, and the difference was obvious (see photos). This isn't a recipe issue, it's a quality issue. Customers here absolutely notice the difference. I hope this location improves and holds the same standards as the original. read more

This place is AMAZING! I was highly anticipating their opening for an entire year! All their Food is a Food Party in your mouth! From their pastries, cakes, desserts, to sandwiches! They just opened in PSL and everyone is so excited to try them out that it's created a frenzy & lines are a bit long but service is getting better handling that high demand. This is a new location but an established business with over 25 locations in SoFL and has been around for over 30 years, please give them some time to get their bearings before you start believing any negative reviews- (people love hating here). There are too many young people that are NOT trained well. They don't know how to make a good coffee, or ether to light or to sweet. Also too many people handling one order, making many mistakes, I had a sandwich without the meat, is frustrating when you see it at the time you arrived home. Also, they don't know how to pack what you buy, the boxes are huge, or they don't give a bag, or they put it on the trays for the drinks. Is really a mess. Some of this young people should be watched and have them fixed, instead of cracking jokes they should take their jobs more serious. This is not a cheap place. I love this place but I really had a bad experience on Sunday. All I want was two empanadas two beef two chicken first of all they made me wait 35 minutes for them didn't tell me that they were not made. Then they said they were going to compensate me. They never did. It was a terrible experience and then they acted like it was my fault. Just very disappointed and I used to like this place. read more

I've been here 3 times just to give them a fair shot. Each and every time has been a complete disappointment. First time, I bought a tray of pastelitos, and a tray of croquettes, the croquettes were hollow. No filling! The second time, I asked for a ham and Swiss croissant, they couldn't even toast it all the way. Ended up with thick, cold Swiss, after waiting 25 minutes for it! The third time, I ordered a tostada. Just a simple toasted bread and butter. 20 minutes later.... The damn bread is not toasted!! Like WTF! It's in the name! I had to come home and stick it in a toaster oven! I mean....I'm done with this place. I rather go to the palm beach location when I'm feeling nostalgic. This place is a joke! .... The coffee is good, but like warm. read more
