Very lack of information and not good advice for the claim. Cost many extra dollars to fix bad information given by the daughter who is only person even in office. Rather than say "I don't know" they will give wrong advice and hurt your situation. Avoid and go with Allstate. Why, you ask, then all the good reviews? Are they legit? I have been with Vicki and State Farm for years now. First incident was a year or two ago. A rock hit my windshield, I called in. They said I would have to pay my deductible of 500. I advised them that my parents insurance offers a widows buy back program. If they have heard of that? I was told no. This last year another rock hit my window. I called in again to see if they happened to change anything or offered the window buy back program. They said no but that I could pay 5-8 dollars more a month for some window protection!! Why was I not offered that in the first place I'm not sure? And of course when I asked them why was I not offered that the last time I simply got a, sorry. A little over a month ago I got a new car. Called it in and was told it would be about an 18 dollar difference which I was ok with. I called in again to just verify they received the car change and left a message never received a call back. Today I look at my bank statement and they took out nearly $50 more than normal. I called and got this rude lady named Victoria. All she could say was it was a training error. I then asked if they normally follow up with a call once the changes are final, especially if it's going to be more than before. She had no answer. To be with an insurance company for years and to be treated like this I don't feel is acceptable. When I called to cancel she was very short and acted as if it wasn't a big deal. It is not enough for me to write a simple review about Ms. Vickie Stephens so I hope that this is review is not too lengthy, but I would be remiss to not expound on the wonderful interactions that I have had with her as an agent. I first contacted Vickie Stephens' office regarding life insurance for myself and my family. I was definitely pleased to find that she was extremely knowledgeable of the various policies and options that were available to me, but her personal care and concern for me and my family as a whole is what really stood out. Not only did Ms. Stephens patiently walk me through every choice available, she even took whatever time necessary to ensure that I understood everything there was to know about what was being presented. She made sure to answer every question I had (and believe me I had A LOT!!) and further offered - and still offers now - personal advice that would ensure that my daughter and I would lead long, healthy lives! Now what other agent would go out of their way to do that!!?? Fast forward a mere few weeks after our initial meeting, I had the unfortunate experience of encountering severe water damage to my condo due to a fire in a neighboring unit. I immediately contacted Ms. Stephens regarding this matter and, again, she was there to personally walk me through every step of the process. She not only assisted me during business hours, but offered her personal cell number to me in case there was anything I needed that required immediate attention! From beginning to end, Ms. Stephens went out of her way to make sure that all of my needs were being met. Again, what other agent would go to such extremes to see that their clients' are taken care of!!?? Needless to say, I would HIGHLY recommend Ms. Vickie Stephens for all of your insurance needs!! I was treated well when I came in and signed up (and got "upsold" a bunch of extra insurance) but when I had questions, issues or requests--crickets! She was never there. I have been with State Farm insurance for two years, and Vickie Stephens has been my agent for those two years. I absolutely love, Vicki! She's not only an awesome lady, but a wonderful agent. I have had numerous, unfortunate events with State Farm, that was NEVER my agents fault; out of her hands. Although, the situations that occurred were not due to my agents mistakes she always helped me resolve the problems with my policy and always reassured me that things would get taken care of, which they always did. Every time that I call State Farm I'm not always able to speak with my agent, directly, but that's a good thing. That lets me know that she has many clients that she's tending to. If I am unable to speak with my agent she has a great staff (Victoria and Endira). Those two ladies are always helpful as well. I appreciate, Vickie and her initiative to go above and beyond when I am in need . She doesn't rest until she makes sure that I'm pleased. She makes sure me, as a client, is well take care of. I was then transferred to speak with someone from the roadside assistance department. Hours passed by and my agent called me back- after business hours making sure not only was I safe, but made sure that the tow truck was on its way. That's the type of caring heart she has. She even volunteered to come get me all the way from San Jose, which was where I am, and she's in Fremont. Amazing! Truly unbelievable. Vickie said that she would follow up with me, and she did just that. I've never had someone who did all of the things that she does. I would recommend her to anyone because you'd be amazed. She's truly a gem. I appreciate the connection that she has made with me. When Vickie found out I was on the side of the road she immediately was worried. She was concerned like I was her own child. That's rare. She gave me instructions on what to do to stay safe, she checked on me, and made sure that I was staying calm. I cannot express enough of how incompetent this office is. Vickie Stephens has grown bigger than she can handle. They are never available for you, are not knowledgeable at their jobs, and can't handle simple requests or changes in a plan. It literally takes minimum four phone calls to get anything correct.
