The service and explanation of insurance quotes/bills were much much better. She has the patience to explain everything to an insurance rookie. She'll help you find the right discounts too so you're not just wasting your money. FYI - she'll also help take care of the transfer seamlessly. The team that she has is very polite. What I love is that they will actually adapt to your communication style. You want to text? They'll text. You want to email or talk on the phone? They'll do that. Sometimes, I just can't be bothered with calls at work, but text and email are more tolerable. I just tell them what I need. My old branch did not understand this concept and I couldn't tolerate it anymore. Give it a try. You can call, visit, whatever is easy for you. I've never seen the office yet and it works just fine. TIP: Earthquake insurance (for those CA residents) is not covered under renter's insurance. I was stunned when I found this out. Definitely added that coverage to my policy...Renter's is too cheap not to add anyway for other things like stolen goods, etc.

I was with a previous State Agent for many years until he retired. Then, I got dumped off on Maria…read more I called yesterday about a general insurance question and today about the need to upgrade my home policy due to improvements. Unlike my previous agent, I got only voice mail and no return call yet. [Later] I got a call back from Maria's office prompted because I said I was switching to a different SA agent (whose office did picked up.). The other agent is required to have the original office get ahold of me (I guess to prevent poaching.) To be fair... the office person said Maria was out of the office so maybe I was unlucky. I pay a lot for insurance, so expect a higher level of service.

I called and left a message and Indira called me back very quickly. I was a total noob at this and had no idea about a lot of the terms but Indira talked me through everything and did a great job explaining to me what it all meant. She sent me a few quotes through email so I could share with my husband since he was at work at the time. After we decided on our policy it was a breeze setting everything up. Indira took care of literally everything for us - it could not have been an easier process! Recently she gave me a call to follow up and see how our move to our new home went. I really loved that she took the time to reach out so I also decided to discuss what it would look like to switch our auto policy over to State Farm also. Indira was able to give me a quote within minutes, and since we were bundling with our home insurance we got a good discount and are now paying the same amount for auto insurance as we were with Progressive but with waaaaayyyyyyyy better coverage. Also she said this would reduce our home insurance policy cost and would be getting some money back from that - a total win-win! Indira makes me feel like family when I speak with her which is why I gave them my business, and will stay a loyal customer as long as they are around! If you are looking to change any of your insurance needs, I highly recommend going with Kelvin and Indira at State Farm!

After my parents retired and moved out of the country, I took over the family policy and was shocked to find several unnecessary add-ons, including a life insurance policy that had been purchased for me when I was 19. We ended up canceling that policy a couple years ago, but it was frustrating to realize it had been sold to us in the first place. Teresa comes across as very sales-driven, prioritizing upselling over genuinely helping clients understand their coverage. When I first got my driver's license, nothing was explained to me, and I had to figure everything out on my own. Now that I've reviewed the plan myself as an adult, I discovered I was paying almost double the market rate for coverage that didn't even fit my needs, it made no sense for my situation. The coverage was excessive, overpriced, and not customized in any meaningful way. It feels like this office takes advantage of long-time clients who trust them. Customer service is poor, and getting clear explanations is nearly impossible. Trying to reach them has been a pain to the point I've just gone straight to Farmers customer service to cancel my policy with them. Please do your research and get quotes from competitors before signing with Farmers through this agent.
