We hired Vic's team for our wedding day, and if I could give them a thousand stars, I would. I'm not one who enjoys having their picture taken (at ALL), and part of my wedding-day anxiety was knowing I'd have to spend hours with a photographer with me as their sole focus. It took maybe ten minutes before Vic and his team got me to actually have fun with the process. One major piece of his team's work that I can't praise enough is the fact that they blended right into the crowd, especially during our reception. I worried about constantly being pulled from the moment to pose for photos, but that was quite the opposite of what actually happened. Almost all of our photos were undirected and candid, which truly captured the joy of the day. Even the photoshoot we had with our bridal party was nothing short of fun. Don't get me wrong - Vic knows *exactly* how to capture the perfect dramatic shot (we got a few of those too), but he understood very quickly that we were a goofy bunch and worked to photograph our true selves. Besides the fact that he captured the happiest moments of our wedding day in the most natural way, the quality of the products we received afterwards totally exceeded my expectations. Everything from the acrylic cover of the album (which is a MUST have) to the way in which the photos were laid out in the album to tell the story of our day was beyond stunning. We chose to have a canvas print of ourselves too, and it's obvious from the print that Vic's attention to detail is unmatched. I'm usually not a fan of canvas prints as they tend to miss the details of a photo that can truly hinder the quality, but Vic not only made sure it was done correctly, it was more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. Vic is very clearly passionate about what he does, and that passion is perfectly displayed in the end product. Arineh is an absolute sweetheart too, and she went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of from beginning to end. Planning a wedding is difficult enough, you don't need to deal with vendors that make it worse. We were having a hard time finding a photographer/videographer. We went to a "popular" vendor who was showing us packages starting $10k. I wanted to tell him, "Calm down, you're not photographing at the Oscars." So we went to another vendor who gave us a WHOLE TWO MINUTES of his time. This man had the audacity to invite another couple inside his office in the midst of our conversation and tell us, "Ok we are done, call me with any questions." No thanks bud!! Then my friend told me about Vic Studios and boy was that a blessing. We met at his Old Town Pasadena office and it was such a cute little office (not trying to impress us with a huge, pointless studio like the previous guy) It was a more intimate setting where he offered us wine as we sat at a comfortable couch and looked at samples of his work. He gave us all the time we needed, answered all questions and was an absolute delight to work with. We set up a specific package just for us and formed a contract. His contracts are clear as to what he expects from us (payment wise) and what we should expect from him (service and delivery wise). I like dealing with professionals and I like contracts that both parties can refer to. We truly appreciated Vic's professionalism in that department. Wedding day arrived along with all the chaos it's known for. I appreciated how quickly and efficiently Vic and his staff worked. I had spent a lot of time and money on the décor of my house and they paid attention to detail to capture perfect angles. They are a kind and easy going group of people to work with. Sometimes you freeze in front of the camera but I was completely at ease and able to enjoy the picture process. Like I said, they paid attention to detail from the minute my wedding began to the minute it ended. My photos came out flawless and I mean flawless. It was better than I expected and I was having a hard time choosing which one was my favorite photo. The color, the detail, the pose, the lighting, the setting, the angle, everything was just beautiful. I was so happy with my photos that I can't think of a bad thing to say. That should tell you a lot about Vic Studios. The videography was outstanding. The first time watching it, I pressed play and was mesmerized of how beautiful the cinematic introduction was. after a long search for a photographer for our engagement party, we were referred to the Vic Studios by one of our friends. For both my fiancé and I choosing the right photographer was one of the more important tasks for our party. We were on a budget, but at the same time were looking for someone who could do our photography the way we wanted. I met with Vic and immediately realized that he has a very strong knowledge in the field of photography. But what gave him an edge over other photographers we had met was the fact that he was very passionate about his job. For over an hour, he patiently went through original photos showing me his techniques and style. I guess he had realized that I knew a little about photography and tried to explain details on what he does. I really enjoyed the meeting. From every other photographer we had met with, he seemed to be the one who could do what we wanted. During the meeting I told Vic that both my fiancé and I were not good at posing for pictures. You can even say that sometimes posing for photos makes me uncomfortable, but he ensured me that we didn't have to worry about posing. It was very easy working with Vic. our communication was through phone. He was very prompted on answering our phone calls and helping us find our ideal location for photos. Our engagement was in december, during which the sun sets a little earlier, therefore we planned to go for our outdoor photo shoot earlier in the afternoon to use the day light. Unfortunately my hair dresser was not on time and I was over 3 hours late, yes over 3 hours, dont even let me get started on that. Our one o'clock appointment with Vic was pushed to 4 o'clock where he patiently waited in his office for us. I was so nervous and upset that I didn't even want to go for photos. I called Vic and he ensured me that we still could take advantage of the one hour daylight left till sunset. The photo session was so fun that I totally forgot about everything. We didn't have to do anything but be ourselves. We walked around, talked, laughed and on some occasions he asked us to do things like lean against a wall or seat on a chair and talk or joke. I was so impatient to see the photos, and when Vic gave me the CD, I was ecstatic. We loved every single picture. All of them were artistic and beautiful. He chose amazing backgrounds to mach my dress color. I couldn't even believe my eyes that we had such amazing pictures in such a short photo shoot session. There were Lots of great candid shots that were truly priceless. He used all the natural elements around to create amazing backgrounds for the photos. I don't even know how he was able to see all the details, but I guess that is what makes him a great photographer.
