Rude unhelpful assistant : didn't even attempt to make eye contact or engage in creating a rapport to sell anything . Replied to my question twice with "I don't know" with a rude tone which was perceived as "don't bother me " with no context . Nothing . The "vibe " I got was "your not important to me". Shame as I was looking for a 18k solid gold bracket !!Not even an attempt to try to find the answer and help. Sad as all the other reviews were so good . Would give a zero if I could read more

This is my 3rd piece of jewelry from here over the years. I like their style of jewelry. My bracelets have a hammered look and some don't. Some are thin and others are a little thicker. There's always a story to the designs and designer. The ladies there are so nice and they informed me of a reward system as you buy. I didn't know that until now. We took the people ferry over from St Thomas because it's easier to walk around St. John than it is to drive. read more

My sister and I needed to buy a bracelet for our mother and tried to go to this store. It was 10:30 am and the door was locked but the sales woman on the other side just looked at us. Finally she walked over and unlocked the door and then walked away from it, not even bothering to open it and welcome us in. We opened the door and stepped in to ask if they were open (perhaps that was the reason for her rudeness) and she said "yeah" with an unbelievable amount of attitude. We walked straight out. With all of the jewelry stores on St John who understand the importance of customer service and professionalism (especially Bamboo Studio which is right next store), no need to spend a penny here. We are black females with $$$ to spend but refuse to be racially profiled as undesirable customers by rude white sales women such as her. Note: We did stop in the Vibe location in Mongoose Junction the day before and the customer service there was quite good -- the saleswomen were nice and welcoming. Must just be the Wharfside location and this particularly saleswoman unfortunately. read more

It is already an expensive trip to St. John, and this jeweler knows it. They don't negotiate prices, which really is unheard of throughout the Carribbean. Val, the salesperson looks at you like you are a mark and asks you all types of obvious qualifying questions to size you up if you are worth her time to assist you. The place has beautiful items. I fell in love with an expensive gorgeous bracelet silver with larimar and pretty unusual shaped stones. Less than a month later the clasp broke. When I called them about the bracelet, the person that answered the phone abruptly said it was a soldering problem and sent me to Val, the salesperson who was her maudlin transparent self. They don't care about quality and their warranty means nothing. You are supposed to send them back the bracelet. They don't provide you with so much as shipping label. They claim to be in business for 20 years selling. And also claim ignorance of what a shipping tag is. Now, if you can trust a company like this, you are a better person than. I am. This is a tourist trap: plain and simple. read more

there are a whole slew of jewelry stores on st. john that offer a variety of duty free shopping. however, into the blue simply looks a bit more special. as soon as you walk into the little shop, the shop keeper is proud to show you the store's exclusive collections, which have a bit more detail and charm than you might find at some of the other shops. there are hand made ornaments, reminders of your trip to st. john for when the colder weather hits at home. there are also a classic array of the famous hook bracelets and larimar pieces, which you will see everyone wearing around these islands. earings, rings, and small sculptures are also set around the store. in addition to offering some very unique pieces, the nice thing about this store is that the high quality jewelry seems to come in several sizes. bracelets which i had seen elsewhere and were fare too big, were actually available in smaller, fitted sizes at into the blue. furthermore, these bracelets were reasonably priced. i actually selected a hook bracelet, with a little etching of the famous st. john petrogyphs, and a little larimar stone, which ran me about $138. a nice keepsake. i'm sure you'll be wandering around many different stores while you're in cruz bay, but make sure not to miss this one if you're looking for something nice for yourself, or a gift for someone special. read more
