The person working the front greeted me and I told her it was my first time so she gave me a rundown of how the studio works. I appreciate the great customer service! They have a full front mirror, cubbies to store your belongings, a clean bathroom, and an ipad up front to sign in. I also needed to use the bathroom and her directions weren't very clear, so I had to ask her where to locate it a couple of times. I ended up using the bathroom at a nearby spa which I'm not sure if that's the bathroom she was referring to. There were lots of cubbies to store my stuff before taking the class which was nice. The age demographic of the participants was on the higher side, but everyone seemed so energetic. The instructor was also fun and lively. I liked her hip-hop style choreography which was full of energy and grooves. I was impressed that she was able to dance with so much energy for an hour straight. I overall enjoyed the music selection and choreography of the class. Overall, a decent experience here. Since it was my first time, I was able to get into this class for $15. Otherwise it would be $30 which I think is a bit pricey compared to regular dance classes in LA that go for 1 hour and 30 minutes for around $20. However, I do recognize this could be the standard for these types of classes. I wouldn't go out of my way to do this again, but would be possibly down if someone invited me. Often with teachers of this caliber and training, you find a competitive and cold culture which doesn't work for my daughter or for me. The Floor couldn't be further from this. The Studio Director must place high importance on cultural fit because every single person we've worked with here is top-notch - helpful, attentive and just a good human. The Floor is a wonderful place - it honestly feels like family. My daughter loves it here so much that she's taking 3 classes a week. I didn't understand why I had to participate on that class since I don't have to participate on the classes that she actually takes it, Also I tried to explain that I have a 14 month old boy and would be impossible for me to do any participation at that class since I have to watch my son as well!! Later I found it, that the makeup class they were offering was a toddler class, Ballet/Tap 2 to 3 years old. WHAT A JOKE!!! My daughter is 5 going on almost 6 years old, and they want her to dance with 2 years old???? Also they want to obligate me to participate in the class? they want to make me pay for my 14 month old BOY, to do ballet-Tap dance on that day so my daughter could do the class which was not at all the class that I have paid the tuition for!!! Let me give you an example, if you miss a math class on 6 grade but the school offer you a make up class math from third grade??? Is that make sense??? Get my point ? Well they didn't !!!! when I called and tried to explain this, the UNPROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEE from this facility was extremely rude, didn't even let me talk, and hang up the phone on my face!!!! FOR WHAT???
