Great trip with Zu to Sierra Chincua - kept things interesting and lively. The day was full of exciting things, and the butterfly visit was just a part of a great tour.

This was an amazing tour. Even though it rained all morning. Irazu made the best of the tour for all of us! Between the pickup being smooth; and the whole adventure it was fun! The drive is long but from the start we had an ice breaker to get to know each other! It was so much fun with 2 truths and 1 lie! Before our hike we were talking about foods we have tried and love and I actually mentioned how I didn't find atolé de guyaba. Irazú made it a point to find it along the way for me and the group and miracles did happen so I bought one for each person on the bus to try! Once we got to the butterfly migration tour it was somewhat of a hike- bring sneakers, pack a waterproof/windproof jacket or poncho (they also sell them before the tour if it does rain). Also note there are horses you can get on if you do not hike; but the hike is beautiful. Now based on the day the butterflies would either be flying around or as in our case due to the rain just attached to the trees hiding their wings as best as they can. The butterflies were beautiful!! From that tour, we went into the local town of angangueo. Here we had the local mole on chicken: the red mole and guyaba mole!! Both were amazing and the local beer that is made in town! We went to see the local axolotyl. This was like a scene from a disney movie. The older woman had the shop close we knocked and with her sweet voice in Spanish asked if we would like to view her animals! Small cute shop with a few items to purchase. Please note she seems to be partially or fully blind; but fully sweet and kind. This was the end of our tour and started our route back to the city. Just note this will be an all day tour so do not have anything booked even for dinner unless it's set really really late due to not arriving back to CDMX until 9 pm.

Great tour!! Highly recommend!! My wife and I were in Cancun in December of 2022. We booked the private Chichen Itzá and Cenote tour. Our guide Mischel was great!! He was professional and fun!! He gave great historical info and gave an fun tour!! I would highly recommend the tour and super highly recommend Mischel as the tour guide!! The drive is approximately 3 hours each way to Chichen Itzá. The SUV was nice, new and comfortable. Lunch good but not great. The day was long. Take your bathing suits if you plan to swim in the Cenote. Bring sunscreen. Cold waters were provided. Please be prepared to tip the wait staff at the restaurant . . . smh . . . I saw several people not tipping (lunch was paid for as part of tour but the tip is not). Please also tip the guide if you feel they have provided a great service which our guide did! Enjoy!!!

We had a day in paradise at Tolantongo springs and were so grateful to have Sal as our driver and guide for the day! The pools, the cave and the river were magical, and Sal was so knowledgeable and wonderful with our kids, too. Vibe Tours was very responsive, personal and pleasant. This was the highlight of our trip to Mexico City!

My husband and I visited Cancun in January 67, 2022, and booked a private tour to see Chichen Itza, the cenotes, and Valladolid. It was the best tour we've ever had. Our tour guide, Nef was FABULOUS. He picked us up at our resort on time. He opened the doors for us, and asked right off if the AC was at a comfortable level for us. He briefly let us know how the day would go, but basically, it was open to us how long and where. We made stop for breakfast and then were off. He started the ride with his expansive knowledge of the area, Merida (his hometown), Valladolid, and the Yucatan. His lively telling of the history, culture and the people brought the this beautiful country to life. He peppered the history with witticism and humor. He was gracious and professional and made us completely comfortable and made us fall in love with Mexico and its rich history. He was very engaging and he offered to take photos and not just one, but many! He gave tips and advice too and answered our questions. He was so good, other tourists who didn't have guides, listened in! Toward the end, he surprised us with a photo at Chichen Itza that we would not have known about. We will definitely book with Vibe Adventures again, and we will definitely return to this beautiful country, Mexico and continue to immerse ourselves and expand our knowledge of this its history and culture and people. And we hope to see Nef again, too, and hope he continues with his passion of history and people. (He could write a book and it would sell fast!) We feel as though we made a friend.

The first time that I was really introduced to this place was when Brittany Spears had a co cert here many years ago. They have wonderful shows and events here all year round. Today's event was a commemoration and the military band honoring a high ranking leader. Starting tomorrow I will return to the office here, because after my first ten days back here, vacation time is over. Kinda sorta!

The tour begins at Fontán Reforma Hotel, where their shop is located. You're given a bike that will be adjusted according to your needs, as well as a helmet if you'd like one. My bike was a beach cruiser with a basket, which was ideal since I was dragging along my camera and water. My guide, Danny, was a super enthusiastic, has been biking his entire life and would know the roads with his eyes closed, so needless to say I felt safe even when riding the busy streets. Our first stop was made at the Monumento a la Revolución, where he gave a brief explanation of the background. Then we went on to the Buenavista-Guerrero Corridor, where we locked our bikes and took a walk down the street that features murals that cover the entire building facades. Then we drove through the quiet neighborhood of Tlatelolco, to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where he gave a detailed backstory of the massacre as well as the history of the pyramids and the church. After this stop, we set off again in search for more murals all over town. We finished the tour with a light lunch in the marketplace at Plaza Garibaldi before heading back to the starting point. Biking through CDMX, admiring the many pieces of art on the walls, gives you a unique perspective that no other tour will be able to offer you. The biking aspect of the tour is not strenuous at all, so I would recommend anyone to see the city from a different angle and hop on a bike with Poray!

Gabby was a great guide and Danny was riding behind us, corking traffic for us at times. We felt safe on all the paths taken and the city now has great infrastructure for cycling. My only wish is that I'd known that the included 'snacks' were going to be some of the best street tacos I've tasted. I had wolfed down a huge breakfast just before the tour so shared my tacos with family. Had I been hungry, they would have been all mine! This tour is a great way to get oriented with part of the inner-city. I would do it all over again just to get back to that taco stand in that sketchy neighborhood, which was safe during the day. This is a great way to cover a lot of ground and feel the culture. We booked this tour in advance through TripAdvisor.

When we came here, they were having a special exhibit on Anne Frank, which was separate from the main exhibit/tour that the museum offers. We decided to purchase access to both exhibits, and went on the standard museum exhibit first. I can tell you that the folks who designed this museum did a phenomenal job. The main exhibit focused primarily on World War 2, talking about the rise of the NSDAP and the propaganda it sued. Through the many rooms and passageways, the story was told up until the end of the war. As a WW2 history buff, I was shocked to see photos, news articles, and stories that I have not seen before. This, along with the design and presentation, made for an captivating experience. You really do feel the intensity of the topic, and you begin to feel how bad those times were. Toward the end, the museum had information on other genocides that took place in the 20th century. The one that I found the most captivating was the one talking about the Cambodia Genocide, perpetrated by the Khmer Rouge. Once we were done with the main exhibit, we took an elevator to the second floor to check out the Anne Frank exhibit. This part of the museum had an in depth presentation on the Frank family, as well as the lives of the other people who hid with them (Fritz Pfeiffer and the Van Peels). It went as far as talking about Anne's grandparents, and goes into Otto's life after the war. It was touching and thought provoking. I was very impressed by this museum. They did a phenomenal job with the presentation. I recommend it!

So instead of buying tickets to go to the observation deck you can just say you're going to the restaurant. Of course the prices are a little elevated but just think that you'd be spending 220 pesos per person just to go to the observation deck. So just get a drink and maybe a dessert or something. The view is really nice and you can just relax and enjoy. We had a tres leches cake which swimming in sauce, very spongy and wet and also had a layer of whipped cream, delicious! We also got the mango ice cream, it was quite a large scoop and came on top of some sort of cookie or granola crumble. It was creamy and had a nice mango flavor, most of all refreshing. But most of all you're there for the view. We went there on our last day before leaving for the airport so we were in sort of a rush. So we asked for our check multiple times but they are used to people taking their time and just enjoying the view. So we just got up and paid at the register before we left.

By using the Metate, the concave curved stone slab used by the Aztecs to grind shelled cacao beans to paste, you take the roasted beans and some sugar through the process of making chocolate. Yes, it is pretty much that simple when it comes to the ingredients. However, the labor needed to make the magic happen might be more than expected. The people there will help guide you in technique, but it really comes down to your time and effort to make it happen. The end result is a paste I would have liked to take home with me. However, the way they had you end the experience there was to mix it with either milk or water to drink it. Yes, the milk, at least for me, is better tasting, but since this is probably something you are ever going to do once in your life, do try it BOTH ways!
