Alberto was an amazing guide and we learned so much on this trip! I highly recommend this tour!read more

Worst tour and customer service we have experienced in over 50 years of travel and 100+ countries…read morewe have visited. We wanted to visit Cacaxtla ruins in Tlaxcala and Vibe Adventures offered a relatively expensive tour, but that covered what we wanted to see. We booked the tour a couple of months in advance and everything was going as expected for our December 30th, 2025 tour to Cacaxtla and other sites in Tlaxcala. Our driver (top service) and our guide showed up in time at our hotel for our group of 9 people. We got on the van and maybe 20 minutes into the drive and on our way to Tlaxcala, the guide casually told us that Cacaxtla was closed because the ceiling protecting the archaeological site had collapsed a couple of weeks before and it had not been repaired. She offered to take us to visit some other sites in Puebla, which we had already visited before. We had no other option. Vibe Adventures never bothered to contact us to inform us that the archaeological site was closed. They ruined our trip for which we paid a lot of money. Upon our return to our hotel we check on Internet, on the Government official web site, social media, etc. No mention whatsoever of the collapsed ceiling. There are two possible explanations: 1. The accident was true (even if the site was shown as open in social media and official web page and no mention was made of any kind of mishap) and Vibe Adventures did not bother to contact us and mention that the tour we had booked was unavailable, or 2. The guide lied to us and came up with this story because for some unknown reason she did not want to go to Cacaxtla. We sent an email to Vibe Adventures requesting an explanation. We never heard back from them, which leads us to assume that this was just a scam. So far we have no idea what happened. Everything seems to indicate that Cacaxtla was open and the guide simply did not want to take us there. We will definitely never use Vibe Adventures services again. Perhaps, after going public with our terrible experience, they will finally have the courtesy as to reply with an explanation, perhaps a refund.

After many trips to Mexico City, a friend told me about the Tolantongo Hot Springs. I began by…read moreresearching: #1 - Could the trip be done adequately in a day? #2 - Could I drive myself or hire a driver to save money? #3 - If going with a tour company, which was the best option? Here are my findings. Yes, the trip can be done in a day. I was staying in the Condesa and we got a very early start at 6am. It took 4 hours to arrive to Tolantongo. The route becomes confusing and I would not recommend driving yourself. A reputable private driver was actually going to cost MORE than the tour offered by Nomada. Of all the tour companies, I felt most comfortable with Misha at Nomada. She was quick to respond via email and WhatsApp and answered all of my questions. There was no - paying up-front via a web site. Everything about Nomada was professional and appreciated. My expectation was that David (my driver) was going to take me to Tolantongo and that I would explore and then return to the car. I was so happy when we arrived and he was getting geared up. He took me on the most amazing tour of the falls. He knew where the "Hidden Gems" were located. Because of his experience - my day was perfect. I 100% feel that I saw EVERYTHING and could not have done it better. Quick Advice: 1) Bring Sturdy Water Shoes (if you do not have any - there are many road side vendors that sell them on your way to the falls) 2) Don't bring lots of stuff with you into the falls. You just need yourself, and a waterproof camera or water protector for phone. (Side Note - I had a faulty protector for my phone - which filled up with water - I was so bummed thinking that my phone was destroyed. I can confirm that the iPhone X is WATER PROOF) I would still recommend to have the protector so that you can put around your neck. 3) There are lots of steps and places that require physical ability. You can certainly take a relaxing trip - but you will not see the 'hidden gems'. 4) MOST IMPORTANT - make sure to visit on a weekday. I went on a Friday and it was perfect. David (my tour guide) told me how the park fills up on weekends. After a long drive - I would be super annoyed to be in nature and to have lots of people around me and then all of the traffic to come home. I hope this helps!! Viva #NomadaMexico

A MUST DO!!! I highly recommend you take the tour with Adrian if he's available!…read more We came from LA (I'm from San Diego) so as first timers to Mexico City we were expecting amazing food. While the city has great food, Adrian knows all the best spotsThe tacos and sandwiches we had blew us away like nothing we've ever tasted. They even have burritos, tamales, smoothies, drinks, and desert on the tour. Make sure to skip breakfast because you'll be eating enough for the whole day. We toured 12 different spots and every stop was amazing, friendly chefs/locals and Adrian gave us a great background of the culinary history behind Mexico and it's finest ingredients. Thanks for the great tour, we'll be back Side note: this tour is great for anyone and because the food is so amazing, I'd tour here before trying street food yourselves. Standards will go up

This was an amazing tour! We did the Narvarte night tour. This took us to 5 different locations…read more that ended in a mezcal tasting which we really enjoyed. Garlic tostada & a costilla volcán - these were amazing! Soo much garlic that I was in heaven. The costilla volcan had a lot of cheese which felt like a tostada pizza. Soup sampler - beef broth was great cause it was a cold night and was warming. The flavors were like a Vietnamese soup. TIP: I liked the beef vs shrimp. Tacos a pastorr - for $1usd I'll take 10. Lol. These were good. Each station kinda tasted different cause one had a little more char than the other. Tacos de suadero - best taco of the trip. TIP: in your second round ask for beef and mans chorizo! Mezcal tasting - very informative of the different types and alcohol %. The ice cream was great! I'd highly recommend this tour and Mario made the trip very fun and since he's a chef he also gave alot of context of the food and how to cook it.
