Everything was nicely organized and you have a 1 1/2 time limit. After your meal you can take a photo on the patio with the back drop or at the Photo Booth. There was also a live band playing. The owners were there the entire time and were friendly and accommodating with various requests. Barn venues for weddings are all the rage and this location was very impressive. First impressions when arriving... wow, clean, organized and impressive details everywhere. The wedding service was performed here. Valley Farms had a nice outdoor area set up overlooking pastures. If the weather was bad there was an option to bring it inside. The main barn for the reception looked to have been built for receptions. Big enough to accommodate probably over 200 guests with room for DJ and a large head table. Prior to the reception, there was an outdoor bar with seating everywhere. Here the wedding had appetizers and cash bar. Only ding was the option for liquor, beers and wines. (Barefoot wines...not exactly high quality). They had a few animals out and a tractor hay ride (without hay) to take the wedding party out for pictures. A nice area for a bonfire once the sun went down and temps hit 50's which was a lot of fun. I don't have the cost, but in the wedding reception market, it's competitive but compare apples to apples. In the end, Valley Farms was very impressive in the setting, atmosphere they created for an outdoor, barn feel and everything looked brand new and well taken care of. I decided to visit over the weekend to do some wine tastings. The venue was very nice and I believe…read moreI may have been there for a wedding before. It was also pouring unexpectedly but that's no ones fault, obviously. The venue was clean but acoustics does make average conversation sound loud that I had trouble hearing the person next to me or the bartenders. I did the non reserve wine sampling which allotted 5 samples for $10. Many of which were made on property with Missouri wines and some west coast offerings. I tend to go for sweeter wines and found my selection to be quite palatable with two standouts as my favorite with the Schitts and Giggles and Lauren's Sweet Vignoles. I really would've preferred the tasting to be separate from the big room and more intimate as to learn more about the wine. Once poured, I was largely left alone standing at the bar where they only offer the sampling and so I felt a little awkward. One gentleman poured rather large portions while the other gave the appropriate amount. A water chaser would've been ideal between both to cleanse the palate. I do think a more intimate setting for sampling is preferred so I am not competing with the rest of the room and I am able to ask questions. The bartenders poured and left and you were on your own!

Parking lot is horrible. The white rock will leave your clothes and shoes with a white residue.read more
