NICE MUSEUM OFF BASE =====================…read more My son came back from his nine month deployment to Syria a few days ago in connection with Operation Inherent Resolve and my husband and I definitely had to be there for the homecoming ceremony at McGrath Gym. I'm not going to elaborate on how dangerous that was. But a mother, father and any family member knows. The museum is nice. I wish I had known it was off base so I didn't have to go to the Visitor Center to get a pass. I sent background check info months ago, but they lost mine. My husband was good to go even though I e-mailed both of our paperwork twice. Definitely check out the museum. You do not need a pass.

We started with drinks and also got the Gorgonzola chips for an appetizer. It was a large dish with plenty of toppings. For dinner my hubs got a special, chicken riggies. it was a huge portion! His only complaint was it could have had more spice. It came with a salad. I had a special as well which was the pumpkin ravioli with a bacon maple sauce and it was delicious! It came with a salad as well. The complimentary homemade bread and pesto was so good! I would just go back for that! We also got a slice of carrot cake to-go and it was a yummy treat.

Our waitress was super sweet but felt it was a little odd that she was working the bar area and the main dining room. She was running back and forth all night. The Food: The monsoon shrimp was delicious, great sauce, nicely fried but I'm glad I didn't have to pay the full price of $17 for the 8 medium shrimp. Salads-big portion and yummy house dressing. The husband got the one pound chicken parm that comes with mac & cheese. It sounded a little odd but he liked it a lot and was seriously huge! The Mac & cheese was tasty. Chicken Riggies- was looking forward to this, as it is one of my favorite pasta dishes but was sadly disappointed. First it came out lukewarm. The sauce was good but the chicken was cut up in toddler bite-sized pieces. Very odd! You would think for an establishment like this they would have a nice piece of chicken on top or at least bigger pieces of chicken. Bread was supposed to come with the meal and we asked for it, but the waitress never brought it. Not sure if we will be back but the pizza did look good!
