DO NOT PAY YOUR BILL IN CASH!!!!! They don't accept debit, so it's cash or check only. Most of the…read moretime I have paid in cash, I rarely use checks, seems like such a last century payment method, but it will be check only from now on!! Last year, we got a shut off notice after paying $200 in cash to pay ahead, because it seemed like we were ALWAYS a month behind (several times it seems like we paid double), despite always being current with our other utilities. But they had NO record of it! None! Thankfully, we found the receipt for the $200 payment, BUT THEY STILL COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHERE THE $200 WENT!!! RED FLAG!!! Still can't explain it to this day, and they don't seem to be alarmed at all. RED FLAG #2!!! Money came into their office, and just vanished! Good accounting should be able to find out where it went. Something stinks. Yes, they applied the credit and stopped the shut off procedure that time, after several days of looking into it. But this time we were out of town and missed the notice. A nice surprise $400 bill when we should only have $83 due. Super friggin duper. This time we can't find the receipt (definitely our bad, we knew better), and despite the GLARING precedent of the mysterious missing payment on this account, the response was no receipt, tough luck pal, pay up. Check your records and see if it adds up. I can't be the only one this has happened to. Pay by check so at least you have a backup way to verify payments. You might need it. It would have saved us $300. You should be able to trust your utility, I've never had a problem like this before with any company. I feel like I have to watch them like a hawk, and there's something very wrong with that. Word on the street is that I'm not alone. If it's happened to you too, please come forward to expose the problem. I was told this has never happened before, but I have serious doubts.

They give their customers a week to pay their bills after the statement goes out, or it is late. The statement doesn't even come with an envelope, just a P.O. Box address to mail the payment to.
