It isn't a particularly glamorous branch and doesn't have much specialist food or anything in the "finest" range but when you're a broke student who cares. It is one of those shops that sells everything, clothes, dvds, food, you name it. It is cheap as chips too, and this is a branch of Tesco that has loads of own brand stock. The store stocks a range of products which cater for day to day needs. There's a good pattisery if you can catch the products when they're fresh. Fresh meat and veg are always available and they compare very favourably with the supermarkets. There is a small off-licence section although you'll get better choice at the offy next door. Papers and lottery are available. Staff are generally friendly although they can get a little flustered when the store gets busy. The best thing about the store is the opening times - open till late (around 10pm) each night and longer than standard hours on a Sunday!

It has an in store bakery which turns out freshly baked bread throughout the day. There is a small clothes department and a home ware section so this makes it perfect for the weekly shop. It offers a free car park but the trolleys do need a token or £1 coin in order to use them. The staff are friendly and helpful and the shop clean and tidy. There is a good selection of the most popular cds, dvd's and games. There is a petrol station on site and it is easy to get to.
