By far the best veterinarians I have taken my pets to in my life. We only started going to see them when Quigley Down Under was just a little fluff bean, he is 2.5 years old now, a blue heeler/Australian Cattle Dog, and we just rescued Lila a couple weeks ago, she loves them too ^_^ she's also blue heeler but a little bit of border collie, they are both happy to have friends now and it was very easy to get all of Lila's new records, vaccines & exam done quick (i had some trouble with her previous owner sadly, who I'm Under the imlresssion now lied to me about all her vaccinations!) The woman I got her from also will not transfer me her microchip contact info over! But Dr Paxton was super understanding about it despite how much of a nervous wreck ive been about trying to figure it out! The scanner for her chip wouldn't even read! Dr Paxton wrote a letter for me to send to the company along with the records of her license and current vaccines, though they say I only needed to submit one record, Dr Paxton wrote me the letter anyway for the peace of mind. AND, the company still has not replied to me! Luckily, the chip that we got Quigley has a profile that let me register Lila's number right next to him, with photos of them and everything. So, I'm not sure yet what will happen with the chip, but I am not worried at all that it won't get figured out, and she is so perfect, they never run off, I just get scared they will be stolen because they're both so dang cute They both got all new tags too for the licenses, vaccines, new name tags so hopefully no one happens to call the old owner if she were to get away. They both got special tags for the dog parks in Ann Arbor too, they're stinking spoiled, I spend much more on them than I do to even feed myself lol but that is what makes me happiest :) all pets deserve that, and they will be treated as wonderfully as possible at Ludington Animak Hospital! Lila is taken care of for now besides the old owners info still registered to her chip.... And she gets to come back and visit Ludington Animal Hospital to visit when I bring Quigley in to get weighed before I buy their next few months worth of interceptor plus and bravecto. They are edible intestinal/heartworm and edible flea/tick prevention that work great, and the Animal Hospital is a better deal to buy such things than say 1800PetMeds or similar, because they are going to give me rebates now that I'm buying for two dogs. We are all very happy! I highly recommend them. The other customers I've met there have also always been very nice :) Ludington Animal Hospital has VERY competitive prices for pet upkeep when you think about how pleasant it is to go there! They're only several dollars more or so than the cheapest places I have looked at before (and I am obsessed with finding deals ) Go meet the Paxton's and all their nice vet techs! You will not regret it. It may be expensive to take care of your fur babies as much as they are supposed to be, but they are our children and they deserve to be treated at such a nice place as the Ludington Animal Hospital. By the way, we named Quigley after Tom Selleck if you didn't catch that Go check them out! Even if you just go to meet them and get a nail trim! You will come back for everything after that! :) Very long review but I hope it helps you decide to go see how nice they all are, it'll change your life if you love to spoil your little fluff butts like I do Well I just noticed there's a review below mine about dirty rooms. I am extremely sensitive to smells and notice things like this very easily, and I have never seen it dirty in there. There is obviously going to be some pet hair somewhere, it's a vet office :) Jack Russells are naturally quite finicky in confined areas they are unfamiliar with, especially without the right kind of repeated reassurance for year to help them learn to be more comfortable. I hope his review doesn't discourage you! I'm pretty sure the price to have all four paws of nails cut on one of my dogs is about 15$? Just go do it and see for yourself, it's not like you'll be there long if you don't love it like we do. I've been to every single vet office in the Ludington area over my lifetime with different dogs and cats, and this place is by far the best. Give them a shot :)

They did a great job on both. The only thing that wasn't great were the "narrow" benches throughout the waiting area that didn't have cushions and are uncomfortable for sitting upon. I really like Dr Brown and she cares for the animals but it's money first. That's top priority. And no emergency calls. You have an emergency she recommends Bay Area Hospital in Traverse City. I had an incident with my previous dog and just talking with Dr W he said he wouldn't have made it to Bear Lake. So I'd have a dead dog. If your dog gets run over and has internal bleeding or whatever you're more than likely to have a dead dog. My advice is if you have an emergency call a vet in this area. From where I live to get to Bay Area Hospital doing 60mph takes almost an hour & a half. That's way to long for a true emergency. Im not saying Dr Brown isn't a good vet ..she is. My Katie girl just loves her ..Dr Brown sits right down on the floor for belly rubs. It's just the emergency issue and money..all of it right up front. She has an app sign that will give you a loan even. I understand she needs & deserves her pay for sure but golly if you can pay at least 1/2 upfront and the rest in 2wks would be awesome. I live on disability. Sometimes money runs thin and I want the best care for my girl no matter what.

I would have to make a new patient appointment which would be a long wait for weeks. I live in a very small town. I have to drive her an hour to Grand Rapids to a vet who is willing to see her today even though she has never been there. So a vet an hour away cares enough to see her in this emergency but not her own vet. We are being penalized because my dog has been healthy. I choose to heal my dog naturally when I can and if I can't I would think our vet would see her. Shame on you Oceana Vet Clinic!
