He wasn't a fan of the vet at all and I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. So after some calling around, we finally decided to come here. They had me fill out paperwork and then immediately took me to a room on time for our appointment. We let my Winky out and he was polite and PURRING at the VET. He absolutely ADORED her and I've decided to stick with them since. They took care of him at a decent rate AND we found a vet he LOVES. (Experience during Covid) Sometime in April our other cat Cobra got what looked like pink eye. But we weren't too sure where to take him. Then I saw Adoring Pets in my contacts and immediately made an appointment. They had a drop off system where they take your pet while you wait in the car. Even with a long line of patients, they still managed to see everyone in a timely manner and helped us in a pinch. My pets love the vets here and I'll keep coming back! Highly recommend this place. My new pup is a rescue so I brought her folder off all her records and the girl at the desk rudely said did you not receive our 24 hour txt to send the records and I said yes I got it but she's a rescue and just brought the folder with everything since that would be easier and she said well it's going to be a while. So I waited 45 minutes and during that time my pup was sitting on the chair next to me and the girl rudely says can you get your dog off the chair, I did not realize they didn't let dogs on them since it was my first time there. When I finally went back it was just rushed and un personable. There was just nothing happy or friendly about the appointment or the workers there. I'm not sure if I'll be going back at this point! And it's sad because I was referred by a friend who used to work with doctor adorno but his vet office staff was not great!

No matter who was tending to them, always have gotten wonderful care & love for my animals, and some of those "kids" been difficult at times. Highly recommend. My last dog, though otherwise a pleasant guy, had to be sedated and muzzled for a vet visit, even a nail trim. Thankfully, he became mellowed in his advanced years. He became a legend. Everyone who worked on him gave him special treatment, in spite of him not returning their affection. Seems like they loved him more because he was a difficult boy. All cried with me when he unexpectedly needed to be put to sleep. Happily (and finally), my current dog is happy no matter where she goes. They now the opposite problem, and need to deal with an exhuberant girl whose tail is wagging and butt is wiggling, even with a thermometer stuck in. One of my current cats (and a few in the past) have also been difficult patients, and their moodiness is always handled with a gentle hand and a laugh. Have never been disappointed with the care and diagnosis over many years. I can't see myself taking my furkids elsewhere. We are truly what they call "part of the T&C family".

We are new to New York so we relied on Yelp to find a good vet close to our apartment. He's received his annual exam here as well as vaccinations. They were very patient and willing to work with us on the vaccines because we had to space them out for budget reasons. They include a complimentary nail clipping with the annual exam, which was very handy because our baby is a monster when we try to do it. I had to request copies of medical records and receipts a couple times and they've always been very quick and accommodating. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable. They even called to check in after they got word we had to go to the puppy ER for a swallowed chicken bone. We are very relieved to have found such a good vet; we definitely plan on staying with them for the long term!

It was obviously VERY hard for us but we knew it was the right thing to do. Dr Albert was absolutely fantastic as he kindly and with obvious passion explained our options. When we brought him in that final day the entire staff was the same way, explaining the process step by step and allowing us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. I called when I arrived with 2 dogs and was 8 minutes late, under 10, and was told to wait because they took the appointment after me first. My 2 dogs were in and out in less than 10 minutes but when I got home I saw they charged $20, $10 each for a late fee. Also when I was at the office they told me starting next physical time they are mandating a $50 tick test per dog. I called them to inquire about what the late policy is before I said who I was and I was told anything over 10 minutes is $10. I asked why I was charged $20 if we were only 8 minutes late and our appointment was swapped with the patient after us. The receptionist then tells me anything after 5 minutes late they round up to $10, and anything after 10 minutes gets rounded up to $15. There is supposedly a note on their wall in the office but not on their website and they don't tell anyone about this not even me when I asked on the phone at first. Plus I had 2 dogs that saw the vet separately so how could both of them be late? I told the girl I was going to ask a lawyer if mandating a tick test and rounding up late fee times is legal and they sent me a termination notice from their office. I was also told that they had no proof that my dogs were taking Simparica Trio when I was at the office because I buy the meds from Canada Vet at a much cheaper price which I thought was rude. Why would I be calling then???? Just beware!!! SUPER EXPENSIVE. Dental surgery cost over 2 grand, mind you our baby suffered a heart problem so extra was done. They were unsympathetic and so clinical that was definitely a turn off. Sadly my baby passed away from another heart episode. Simple dental work turned into a nightmare for us. NEVER will step foot in the place. So majorly disappointed!!!!!!!

The staff have been consistently wonderful, especially with my highly anxious and unfriendly dog. Is Ellicott the cheapest vet in Buffalo? Probably not, but I wouldn't trust my animals with anyone else. We have received excellent care over the years from the front desk, vet techs and veterinarians. Dr. Stevens and Dr. Nellis are truly first class and have been with this practice since we started going there. I would recommend them to anyone and know several people who exclusively request Dr. Nellis for all of their appointments. Appointments are easy to make over the phone and they have an app which tracks when my pets are due for visits and vaccines which is very handy. The office is always clean and while the parking lot is small, I've never had an issue getting a spot. Overall, this is a wonderful practice.
