He got a UTI. Knowing his discomfort, I called around and all I could do was get in here for an emergency visit. I explained we needed a local vet as our other one is 13 hours away. Got an exam and bloodwork. Was prescribed antibiotics, great. Thought we had a new local vet. He's almost 17, the day before we are to drive 13 hours back to our primary residence, he was up all night with loose stool. Everywhere. When I called V V, and explained I will need something to help stop it for the drive I was told someone would check with the doctor. I'll post a pic of the response I got. Apparently, because I took an emergency appointment, he is not considered an "established client"! Why did I have my other vet send over his file then??? Why the bloodwork? Very confused. This wasn't my first choice of vet based on reviews, now they are my last choice based on response. I called my OOS vet and you know what? They are sending scripts in for me!! That is a place that cares about animals!! V V didn't even bother asking me to bring him in! Horrible service. My vet back home was shocked when I mentioned what happened as I apologized for calling them again to script me something long distance. V V didn't lose one customer, but 5! We have 2 sphynx, 1 tabby, and 1 calico aside from my elderly dog. Telling me to go see my primary vet a 13 hour drive away was not appropriate! I explained everything to them. If I needed another visit to become an "established client", they should have mentioned that on my visit so I could have scheduled another visit that wasn't an "ER" visit. Why did they think I had his file sent to them?? Poor, poor practice. We spend thousands each year on pets as one sphynx has a few conditions, they require ultrasounds and cardiology work ups, my dog is elderly and goes to the vet a bit. One kitten we bottle fed since 3 weeks old. I've taken in strays and even wildlife to vets. We care! V V obviously does not. I wonder if they knew the income potential that would have made them care, because the condition of my pet certainly did not. When I get back in town, I am getting him in with my first choice vet that has outstanding reviews. I will just need to pray he won't need ER care as I will not patronize V V again.

He was the kindest man and took amazing care of my pets and made sure to keep his prices unbeatable. He even took geat care of cats, even though he was allergic to them. Lol. I really respected him and his practice. My pets were only seen by Brett a time or 2 up until Guy retired. Brett was always rude, condescending, and arrogant. He spoke to and treated his father and staff that way too. I witnessed it several times as an intern and also as a client. The majority of the staff is fantastic. After Guy retired and Brett took over, things definately changed. The facility updates are great, but Brett seems to have gotten even more arrogant and rude. Also, getting an appointment is like pulling teeth. I feel like they have some sort of kick back agreement with OP Vet Hospital because that's where they always refer me. That place costs a small fortune and Tillou knows it. He is most certainly NOT like his dad. And the new vet is not so friendly either. Which is a terrible shame. Although they are still fairly reasonable priced, their prices have increased. I'm saddened and disappointed at the decline of care and compassion at Tillou. I believe it may be time to move on. I'll be happy to pay a bit more if it means I and my pets will be treated with respect and dignity. I couldn't get my sick dog in to Tillou today, or for 2 weeks at least because the vets are on vacation and they are so booked out. Of course, the recetionist referred me to OP. No Thanks. I found another Vet that can see my girl today. Of all goes well, I will be switch vets for good. This posting my decision is not because I was turned away today. It is a result of too many bad experiences with this place than good. It has been well overdue. I cannot be loyal to a business that no longer treats their clients/patients like they are respected and cared for.

The kicker for me is that I was then told that there was no chance for rescheduling, and that I was effectively banned from their office. When I asked if that meant forever, she, seemingly with satisfaction, said yes, forever. I don't fault my wife at all for this, but do blame their ridiculous policy for distressing my wife, distressing our cat, and for taking our money with literally no services rendered aside from a bad attitude. The woman who had initially led me back to a room (before I was asked to leave) was rude and looked fairly upset and sort of angry that I didn't have the records on me despite my telling her that I was only the messenger. I called back after I had returned home, and was able to speak with the owner, who said there was nothing he could do, which, seeing as to how he is the owner of a small facility, is patently untrue. I know I'm not special, but the lack of any wiggle room, even after saying I didn't care about a refund and just wanted a new appointment, especially given the circumstances, is telling. Oh, and there is literally NO mention of this policy anywhere on their website. I will never recommend this vet to anyone, and what is really said is that i had heard good things about them, and was excited to have a new vet I thought I could trust. I know now thatbpatient relationships are last on their list, if on it at all.

Had to have her put down just this morning, but my brother and I have been driving back and forth at least twice a week for the last three weeks to get her care. They were *always* able to accommodate her immediately and *always* able to provide the best care possible, given the circumstances. I could not have gotten this level of emergent care from any vet hospital in my home city (believe me, I tried). To doctors Wajda, Kwiatkowski, and Carbone, as well as the many receptionists, desk staff, and techs who helped us from our first visit until the end of her life: thank you. Thank you for allowing us to give Ophelia the best quality of life possible for the short time she had left, and thank you for all the tissues (though you may want to spring for 2-ply in the future).

I called them to inquire about what the late policy is before I said who I was and I was told anything over 10 minutes is $10. I asked why I was charged $20 if we were only 8 minutes late and our appointment was swapped with the patient after us. The receptionist then tells me anything after 5 minutes late they round up to $10, and anything after 10 minutes gets rounded up to $15. There is supposedly a note on their wall in the office but not on their website and they don't tell anyone about this not even me when I asked on the phone at first. Plus I had 2 dogs that saw the vet separately so how could both of them be late? I told the girl I was going to ask a lawyer if mandating a tick test and rounding up late fee times is legal and they sent me a termination notice from their office. I was also told that they had no proof that my dogs were taking Simparica Trio when I was at the office because I buy the meds from Canada Vet at a much cheaper price which I thought was rude. My cat was previously boarded at the vet due to his medical needs, but our vet recently stopped boarding on weekends and holidays. Enter the Cat's Pajamas. The staff is friendly and extremely attentive to my boy, Mr. T. He takes 5 doses of medicine per day and they take it in stride. The staff send almost daily pictures to me through the "Report Card" function and it puts my mind at ease. One of my favorite parts of the Cat Hotel is that they do not have your typical cages-- they are called "enclosures" and are huge. No more cramming my poor boy in a cage. They also let the cats out frequently to run around and explore and I know my boy loves this as well. My kitty is a sweetie, but very needy and I am so happy to have the Cat's Pajamas nearby.
