We had only two months after receiving military orders before reporting for duty at our new duty station. Moving from NC to VA was proving to be difficult when most of the properties we were interested in were going under contract within 24-48 hours after listing, and before we even had a chance to get there to view them. We had reached out to Jackie well in advance, based on a recommendation from another military family. We chose Jackie for her local and military knowledge, as well as her attention to detail. We appreciate frequent communication and Jackie delivered. She let us know what to expect during the home buying process and was very responsive. She listened to our needs and budget, and recommended a lender to assist us in our veteran home loan endeavor. We anticipated obstacles and delays with affordable homes going quickly, but Jackie was on top of it the whole time and was able to fit us in expediently. We never would have imagined in this market being able to view a home within 24 hours after it came on the market, deciding that was the one for us, making an offer which was one of eight offers in less than three days, and having our offer being the chosen one! Jackie was great to work with and answered every question. We closed in four weeks. Jackie stayed in touch with us throughout every step of the process. Even now, after being in our home for two months, Jackie is still a valuable connection, sharing recommendations for contractors to help us with some home renovation projects on the horizon. We cannot say thank you enough. We feel tremendously blessed to have had this amazing home-buying experience with Jackie as our realtor. If ever we move again and decide to sell this house, we will rest assured knowing that Jackie will help us in that endeavor as well. We highly recommend Jackie Feagin & Associates for all your real estate needs!

I want to provide an update based upon my softened view and long-term experience with this company…read morethroughout a 10-year period of owning my home. I have since built a home with another local builder and find that my opinion of SAH has softened and, even improved based upon the lackluster customer service and responsibility taken by that new company. Building a home and hiring subcontractors is difficult work and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Yes, I did have problems with the roof on the home (for years) but SAH did take accountability and try to resolve it a few times and paid. While we did argue with them about some things (and I now know this happens with EVERY new build) during the build they backed up their work with me and even did some repairs to my hardwoods and paid for me to get a dehumidifier under the home in the crawl about 5 years after build when the home had some issues related to sweating. Working with their new warranty person - even years later - was easy and she was happy and willing to answer simple questions regarding vendors when issues arose from normal living/wear and tear so I could reach out to those vendors myself to get my home repaired by those who originally built items in the home. In the end, my home was beautiful and held up in style throughout the years and SAH is still building beautiful homes and constantly trying to improve and provide their standard style with improvements and updates. I am impressed with the changes they've made and I look back on their accountability and willingness to come take a look at issues and engage with me over things YEARS later that proves they try to stand by their work. This means a lot and other local builders do not offer the same I assure you.
