She explains things so well and makes the process painless. She gets everything done quickly and efficiently without feeling rushed. I work 9-5 and am not able to go into the office so we emailed and spoke over the phone for the whole process. She is dedicated to giving the best customer service as well as making you feel that choosing Florida Central is a great choice. I am 21 and still trying to understand the ins and outs of loans and warranties and all of that. (My dad friend explaining but it made me even more confused) when Laurie explained how the process works I felt confident in my choice of choosing Florida Central, yet again for my loan. They refused to connect me with with the load department because I didn't have an account with them. Are you kidding me??? How do you people stay in business?? How do you even get business?? Don't call, don't stop by to even see if you want to do business with them. Just go someplace else.

He seems like a nice man but he absolutely does the bare minimum when it comes to your appointment. My family tax team growing up would have the files from the prior year at least to refer back to in case there were any differences outside the norm, but not this man. Jeff did my taxes, like everyone else's and calculated that I owed over $1200. Having a disability, and not having found much employment yet, how was this possible?! I figured out after talking to some people that he had filed it wrong, not having bothered to check my files from last year and applying the %10 Penalty. I should not have been charged the 10% penalty but just like last year he had to file an amendment.....NOT MY FAULT! How would he like me to pay that with only a part time job and a Traumatic Brain Injury? After bringing my files in for this year but still presenting the fact that I am being threatened about a lien on my condo, he tells me to call the IRS, and that it is MY responsibility to fix it and call until it's fixed? Instead of apologizing or owning up to it, he asks me "what do I want him to do about it?" I told him that I wanted him to fix it and figure it out being my tax professional. He said that he wasn't going to call "That isn't going to happen!" He proceeds to mock me with a rude under his breath, phhh, and implies that I needed medical documentation if I was fully disabled? I told him that had he had copies of the amendment, I had provided that to him twice now. I have plenty of medical documentation that each time he did this, I have to pull it from several different files, since he never made a copy of it to keep with my file in his office and didn't feel the need to scan and put online either?! I have a TBI/disability and to be treated in such a way and spoken to like I am using the system, how dare him! After paying for a service that I clearly need help with, and to be treated like all I have to do is call the scary IRS and say what?! I don't even have copies of what he did since he did everything online?! That is why I paid him to help me, otherwise I would use a turbo tax like program like he was! So because he didn't refer to last years documents and didn't file properly, I am getting threats to get a lien on my property! I am going to have to take my documents that I have and pray that another tax professional can figure out what he did and how to fix it at this point! Tax deadline is April 15th and I am having to worry about this in April! I will be reporting him as many places as I can, to his board of whatever if he is part of anything and reporting him for misconduct under the disability act. I pray that he NEVER treats anyone like he did me or leaves them hanging with judgment over me ever again. He doesn't know me but he won't forget the way he did me wrong and will hopefully be held accountable in some way so they he never makes anyone else feel as horrible as he did me.

While not the most complicated filings I've had earnings from multiple countries, and or multiple states, loss carry forward situations, rental income loses, investment earnings and many other situations which he has always handled appropriately. He also works to project income taxes for the following year to help with quarterly filings. I can feel for Shannon but her review doesn't seem to describe the Jeff I've worked with over these years. He also uses previous years and their internal forms helping outline changes that may impact the filing. Jeff is also available and willing to respond to questions throughout the year for which he has not charged extra, even when I preface my request with an offer to pay if the answer involves much research. My only regret is that I can't post my favorable review elsewhere but my technological skills and frustration with Google requirements eliminate that ability. I will use Jeff again and again.

I am simply trying to find out when Tax forms are being mailed out. When I call "Customer Care," (NOT!!!), after 13 minutes of listening to them tell me how important my call is to them, and that many, if not all, of my questions can be answered on their website (that way they don't actually have to talk to you), I finally hung up. This was after writing them a message directly from my account that is supposed to be answered, but has never worked. I think GTE Financial is an institution that has so aggressively marketed itself, it has outgrown the infrastructure to support its customers. Think very hard before you work with this group. Consider a smaller firm.
