If I could give negative score I would. I went in last year to get my taxes done on a girlfriend's recommendation. it was $100 bucks but I'm im my late 20's looking for a deal. What a poor decision that was. Ryan, the owners son is a complete boob. I had a very simple return with the addition of an educational tax credit. I honestly should've done it myself but I didnt. in the consultation he asked if I had used an educational tax credit before, specifically the AOTC which is only allowable for 4 years and 4 years only. I told him yes, he filled out the rest of the return and lo and behold he tells me my return will be about 3 times greater than my best return ever. I told him that is far beyond what I've ever received and he replies with "believe it". I'm ecstatic, telling my buddies I'm going to the casino. the IRS then reduced my "proposed" federal refund by $1000 dollars and I call to find out he picked the wrong credit, the one I specifically told him i dont qualify for. 2 months later I get a letter in the mail from the IRS telling me not only do I not get the $1000 but I owe another 1500 plus interest. I go back to check the IRS record and this dumb fat fuck doesn't even have the courtesy to leave a preparer ID number. In other words, in the eyes of the IRS I have deliver miss-claimed/represented my return and I'm the only one with any accountability.
long story short, a $100 bill with the help of this idiot Ryan ended up costing me $1700 on what should've been a very healthy return on a super simple return. They're not accredited, he's not a licensed tax professional, and the place looks like a run down brothel. You live a you learn you know, but I beg you don't give these fucking people your money. Do it yourself or pay a real tax professional, it's worth it in the long run. read more
