I am late writing this review because I wanted to write this with a clearer head and a focused…read moredetermination. I also wanted to write this review after I had a chance over the weekend and then the better part of the week to calm down. I also have a writer's blog that I maintain from time to time where I posted a similar blog post. I also contacted Spectrum's director of communications/media relations for Texas but so far, I have not heard anything back so I am now posting this review. I gave him and his assistant both a timeline to get back to me and they refused to comment on the store located in Orange. On Friday August 18, 2017, I went into the store after previously spoke to a representative on the phone to obtain cable equipment for internet service. The representative told me that despite two previous roommates leaving a large bill behind and me just moving in that SHOULD not be held against me and I can get service in my name independently. However, two women there at the local office by the names of Tamera S. and Daria W. were not going to have any of it. Apparently when my ex-roommates moved out not only did they NOT pay their bill but they also failed to turn in their digital cable boxes and their router as well, thus owing Spectrum a hefty bill for around $243.00. These two ladies informed me that if I wanted service in my name at that residence I had to provide a copy of the lease for my rental house (which was not in my name but my other friend's name) and I had to prove that my other two roommates were no longer living at the residence. I did in fact show them the electric bill which I also pay which has my name and the present address of the rental house listed on the front of the bill. They claimed it was not good enough. Tamera then called her supervisor who then backed her in denying me the equipment. I then went over to one of the benches on the lobby while her colleague made a snide remark about how I could go down the road to AT&T where they did not require a copy of the lease to prove residence. While sitting on the bench in the lobby I called the main customer service number, and while speaking to a young fellow I was put in touch with a very nice gentleman who in addition to HIS supervisor who could handle the situation. Between the two of them working on my situation, they were then able to have a router - dual band modem sent to my home which in fact arrived that following Saturday. Thus, I was then able to avoid having to deal with those two women altogether. The entire time while I was on the phone, the lady known as Daria W. was on the phone with her supervisor speaking telling her superior what I was doing and to whom I was speaking with. Apparently the three of them didn't like me performing an end-run around them. That's not my problem they are lazy. It's also not my problem that people don't pay their bills. That $243.00 bill is not my obligation to pay and I am not going to jump through hoops just because they feel I should. I find both of their attitudes in-professional and completely out of line; especially when they recommended me to proceed to a competitor. That does not bode well for the future of Spectrum in the Golden Triangle area. And they will not last long with these two unsavory individuals working here. The night before last though someone whom refused to identify himself and claiming to be calling from the corporate offices for Spectrum called from Pomona, California from a number of (909) 634-3244. He claimed that a complaint had been filed on my behalf because I had wanted to speak to someone at the corporate level and that he had no knowledge of the emails I had sent to the media relations department but that he was going to be looking out for those emails. He also stated he would look into the matter of what occurred with the ladies in my local store. Furthermore he went on to state that once I had displayed my Entergy Texas bill with my name and address that was more than sufficient to establish residency. He only echoed what the gentleman on the telephone that had setup my service had already stated. It is my suggestion that if you would like to establish service with Spectrum/Time Warner Cable then do so either through the website or by driving to another Spectrum store location. There is one located in Port Arthur and there is also one located a few miles further away from there in Beaumont. Either way I suggest you DO NOT stop in at the one here in Orange. You will regret it I grant you. Below is the number for the media relations director for the Texas Region as given to me by the customer service department. Brian Anderson - Director of Communications for the Texas Division Contact Email - Brian.Anderson@charter.com Phone -  (817) 945-1833 The direct supervisor for Orange, Texas area and certain surrounding offices is a lady by the name of ColletteJones and she can be reached directly at (409) 726-5504.

On 06/21/18, my father went in to the store (because he still likes to deal with people face to…read moreface) and wanted to sign up for services. We spent the day before speaking with a representative the promo was for 44.99, and should have taken his advice and spoke to the online sales team. The woman in the store told my father that the internet price was 64.99 ( which it is w/o the promo), and when he explained that the promo price was 44.99, she called him a LIAR, and that whomever he spoke with was a LIAR. She was overall very rude, and NOT helpful at all. My father ended up going with a different internet provider because of this woman. The previous comment on here is exactly correct, if you want good customer service CALL or use the ONLINE CHAT feature. Brian (CS from the day before) was excellent and I gave them all the stars he deserved just like I'm giving the star that was deserved to this woman. Maybe Brian should give Customer Service lessons to the people who work in the stores!! JS

Then another person came from the back he had a customer waiting he dealt with his customer and walked back to the back. Didn't say may I help you or anything. OK, so I just sat there patiently on my phone on Temu scrolling. It was 15 minutes before I was even acknowledged I was in the store. Mind you I only went in there to get a replacement screen protector. Nobody greeted me. Nobody stopped what they were doing to greet a customer, that's insane and for that I'm giving this T-Mobile one star only because the door wasn't locked and I was able to get my screen protector replaced. They deserve zero. Customer service is everything! It sets the tone for the experience. I don't even remember the young man's name because he didn't remember to say "Hi, Welcome to T-Mobile, I'll be right with you." That's all he had to say and do, but I didn't get that EXPERIENCE at T-Mobile in Orange, Texas. He played his part like he was trained to do when he finally acknowledged me and offered to put my screen protector on, I politely declined... point is he still didn't greet me when I walked through the door so the tone was already set for the EXPERIENCE! Go to the T-Mobile in Nederland right across from Central Mall, ask for David Boyd, excellent customer service! He made me feel valued, my EXPERIENCE there was welcoming. I think I'll take my phone back to him and let him out the screen protector on But this is my review and I'm sticking to it..
