They cook food with healthy oils : avocado, coconut, olive oil, grape, and 2 more choices that I imagine were blends of some form. FYI You should only be cooking with coconut & avocado oil. For them to know & use these I was in awe!! Olive oil is only for dressings. I asked to have my food cooked in avocado oil but they were out, I didn't like the options left so I said Olive oil. I was surprised the waitress knew olive oil is not for cooking as it has a low smoke point unlike avocado and cconut oil. I asked to have my eggs cooked in butter much better choice than grape and canola blend. This made me appreciate this location even better. They know what they are doing and how to provide healthier meals. Now for the food! One word! EXQUISITE!! OMG! This place is awesome. I came here twice but the first time I only had a fruit plate and tea. The second time, I ordered Chile verde with egg in nogada sauce: a sauce made with almonds, pecans & creme. I asked if it was spicy because I don't do spicy. The super friendly waitress said no as it was a non spicy type of chile, so I ordered it. Omg! It was out of this world!! Sooo gooood! Chile was not spicy at all. Nogada sauce was wow! The plate came with chilaquiles. They were good but I don't like them soggy plus too much tortilla. The plate is served with bolillo or birote depends where you are from: it's like a French roll. It was made with flax seeds. I didn't want to eat too many refined carbs so I wasn't going to eat it but I took a bite and it was yummy. I ate it all! :0 They offered me cinnamon Apple tea. It was delicious even without sugar ! I didn't like Sonora in the summer but when I go back this is a must !! You need to try this place ! Especially if you are health conscious about your food.

There is a set menu for lunch every day. Be sure to let them know if you are vegan. I particularly enjoyed the eggplant, the tostadas de nopalitos and the vegan ceviche. For dessert, they served a flan made of pureed mango. My only complaint is that I would have liked to have had a little more of the dessert, it was so delicious. Lunch is served in multiple courses at a price that is very affordable. The service is very attentive. All in all, it was a great experience and it really was the cherry on top of my vacation in Sonora.
