I had my doubts at first, as there was so much to be done, and on time, but I was not disappointed, neither was my daughter. They transformed the place from wedding venue to reception venue in under an hour - cake delivered, catering set up, centerpieces, various decor hung, etc. Staff was there helping until the end, then they helped pack up. Uriah is also the Loft's photographer and he did not disappoint either. Holly and Samantha were the Wedding Planners and they went above and beyond also. I could go on and on but I want to write other reviews! Seriously!!

I messaged on here and quickly had an appointment to come see the venue! We walked in and my husband said, "I think this is the place it just is so fitting for us." We did a walk through and fell in love with the venue, location and the fact that we had pretty much free rein over what details we wanted. We booked the venue for December 2018! We picked out a caterer, Baker, one of their preferred DJs, we did our our cocktail hour, one of their preferred bartenders, and Uriah as our photographer! The day of was so perfect for me. I picked out decor, table setting stuff, and all of that extra stuff and the people decorating just really made it look more beautiful than I had ever imagined. It was perfect. Even with a few hiccups, the crew just went with it and made it such a beautiful day. I so highly recommend this venue! Especially so you can have that personal touch on everything!

That's all I needed to know to agree to the service. I was pleasantly surprised by the architecture of this little gem. Immediately upon arrival all I could see was the illuminated stained windows and stonework. Upon entering the ceilings' beams were the first thing I noticed, this is truly a wonderful little gem in the heart of Manitou. It was wonderful not only to hear the wonderful music and songs floating thru the nave, but it was also a feast for the eyes. The candle light song at the end was especially suggestive as it gave me a good sense of what this church must have truly looked and felt when it was first built in the late 1800's.

They took so much stress off my plate by setting up the reception and decorating tables for me. They also took care of little details on the day of (like setting up the guest book) and ushered the whole day to go smoothly. I know weddings always have something go wrong, but my dream wedding went so smoothly thanks to Community Congregational. The venue is beautiful, and it was a dream to be married there!

A friend gave me a Groupon for my birthday- I'm not sure if I would have tried it otherwise but I'm…read moreso so glad I did! We visited last night and had a truly lovely experience. David warmly greeted us and seated us and checked in on us throughout the evening. He was gentle and attentive and we really appreciated him. Our serve was Tyler L and he was also fantastic- warm and kind and on top of things- great personality. We ended up in a little room all to ourselves, which was really nice. We were surprised it wasn't more crowded but we did get reservations for 5:15 and most people probably like to eat a little later. :) We were there for two hours which was nice and slow but pretty well paced. It's a really pretty place! It was also really clean for such an older building. I want to read up on its history. The menu changes regularly and is not up to date online. There were about five options for each course. I enjoyed my berry mimosa and my husband enjoyed his wine. We also accidentally got a lavender lemonade cocktail which my husband thought was very good too. There was an amuse bouche of a tiny caprese salad. Then we got our soups- they were the perfect temperature but my tomato bisque was too salty for my taste. My husband really liked his lobster bisque. When David noticed I didn't finish my soup he asked if I wanted to try something else- what? I have never heard that before- I said no thank you because I was surprised but I thought that was really thoughtful. There was a three cheese bread and a ciabatta bread and they were warm and came with a pretty slice of wildflower butter! We then got an "intermezzo" of lemon sorbet to "cleanse our palates" which was very tart and also just felt so fancy. My main dish was beef bourguignon and it came out with a flower on the plate- it was gorgeous. I was surprised that it was just meat and not stew but I absolutely loved it- incredible flavor and super tender- wow. It was served over a smashed yellow potato with a side of some kind of squashes. My husband got the land and sea entree and it was shrimp and elk loin with a blueberry sauce which he thought was delicious. He also had the squashes and yellow potato too. Our desserts took quite a while to come out- mine was creme brûlée which was very yummy but a very small portion under the crispy shell. It was served on a chilled slab that said "Happy Birthday" on it! My husband got the cheesecake which had lots of little flowers on it- very pretty and he thought it tasted great. This is the most expensive restaurant I think I've ever been to- I was kind of shocked at the prices. But it's a truly lovely place and a really lovely experience with beautiful and delicious food and excellent service. It would be wonderful for a special occasion!

This visit brought me in for Mother's day brunch and it's evident that the establishment is under some major construction but this didn't deter from our feast. It seems the hotel could use some repairs and touch ups and so it's good to see that is underway. The buffet provided a wide variety of options from omelette station, breakfast items, seafood options, prime rib carving station, loads of sides, salad bar and more. My favorites were the au gratin potatoes, Brussel sprouts, and Mac & cheese. The dessert options were very limited as most items had run out and weren't refilled, but I was too full to care. Service seemed a little curt, but was sufficient. I don't think I would ever make a true judgement of a dining establishment based on a buffet experience so I'll have to go back for a regular service to truly explore what the Cliffhouse has to offer these days. Hopefully it is full of excellence as it once was. I'll be back.....

They were not very busy, assuming due to renovations. Location of the restaurant was a little hard to find too, the map took us down the street and then an employee had to walk us the actual restaurant. We chose to eat on the outside balcony to enjoy the view. Our waitress was very friendly and took our order. We requested potatoes and veggies instead of risotto with our Filets. Our meal came out with veggies but no potatoes. Small miss on the order but proceeded to eat our dinner. The filet was incredible!! Very flavorful and cooked perfectly (medium). The only other small annoyance was the wasp trying to get to my meal as I was eating it. Just made me eat faster! Overall nice experience in a beautiful setting!

I will say the cell phone reception is horrible but they do have free wifi. After being sat they review the menu and how each person gets everything on the menu. At first glance doesn't seem like a lot however it was quite filling. We each got got select a tea from serval flavors. I got the pumpkin chai which went well with a lump of sugar and a splash of cream. The food overall was great and the best items would be the quiche, turkey sandwich and the roasted squash crostini.
