I had heard of this place because my future mom n law would come here for dresses & fittings for her daughters dances, pagents, etc... for over 15 years. Lordis fit me that same day and said it would take a week maybe 2 to get the dress fitted bc they had to individually unsew the intriciate lace from the mesh keyhole, cut it to fit my back, frame, and neckline, and resew the lace perfectly so the dress looks untouched. She was extremely professional and sweet. The place on 5th street was rather old and the dressing rooms and mirror display area was pretty "vintage" but I still felt gorgeous in my gown fitting and super excited. (I bought my gown from Bella Bucci's on Main st! for a fair price and she had me try on 10-15 dresses, still bought the first one I tried on! Appointments only for Bella Bucci's but I walked in to get my appointment same day!) I was very nervous about getting my dress fitted because only a skilled seamstress knows how to correctly unsew and resew the intricate and delicate lace to mesh. To my surprise Lordis called me the very next day and said my dress was all ready to pick up! WHAT LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!! I went and retried it and it fit like a GORGEOUS glove to my body! AMAZING WORK! and super fast! She also charged me an extremely competitive price as I had been to other bridal tailors before going to Lordis w/ my new moms referral and she purposely said she would charge me less than the other quotes I got if I went with her.
