Went in for an auto loan, was preapproved, asked to take that preapproval letter to any dealership only to have their 'Team' come up with some BS about needing a co-signer literally while I had the Dealership contract in hand with the total amount I'd be financing! The most unprofessional experience I've ever dealt with and it was from a bank none the less!! I've been told VCCU is great but this particular branch is straight trash and I'm just making people aware of how they run things there. Super sketchy and will tell you anything, even print out forms, to swindle you into thinking you have a loan with conditions that don't exist when you show them the bill(Contract/Car). Was having issues with my current car and needed to get a more reliable one. With the car chip situation creating lack of cars, it was very difficult finding the type I needed. Lucked out and found the one that was best for me but was a TOTAL different purchasing experience for me due to the shortage. Poor service, Diana Lopez The Branch Manager, she denied me the service, I want it to open a personal account and Business account, To support local banks.She argued that I should wear a mask. But there is no law in ventura County that says that. You can check in VCEMERGENCY.COM this is optional, it's not mandatory. I want to get away from Bank of America and Wells Fargo. I Dianna denied me the service because I am not wearing a mask, she argued it is not a law but is a bank policy it means the bank she represents does not respect my freedom. Since this bank messed up on my tax refund I still have not received it. It's been 6 months and still have not got my refund back if you like getting your refund when you do your taxes don't go to this bank they mess up and send back your money if they THINK ITS FRAUD and they say they can't help you get it back why am I going to try to call the manager who keeps writing on my reviews when she already told me she couldn't get my money back anddd they know it's very difficult to get ahold of the IRS This bank will take your money and will send your refund back to be petty. Worst experience of my life!!!! They damaged my credit by sending a vehicle payout check to the wrong address and not following up to make sure it had cleared with my old finance company. They never sent the information to the DMV so i could get my registration and ended up finding out as i got pulled over out of state and my vehicle towed away when the bank had told me everything was fine. Do not believe anything they tell you specially Edgar, Gracie and Diana Lopez the manager. Very irresponsible people with lack of knowledge and work ethic. I paid my plates months ago and and have not received my stickers and they have not yet fixed my credit. All this caused by multiple mistakes they did. DO NOT USE THIS BANK!!! read more

I am conflicted here because this this bank has in the past really worked hard with me on having a good relationship. I have come to really appreciate them. however I have recent had better times and fallen behind on car payments. now that I have hit my stride and started making money and catching back up on my bills. emagine my surprise when I called to make a payment and the rudest customer service person I have ever spoken to. her name is Carla. I was calling to pay my car note and ask if they could waive the fee and she said no. I told her I would just go to a bank and pay it so I dont have to pay a $15 phone fee she insisted that my car would be repoed. she ask if I wanted her to put in for a repo. I just ask for her name to report to a sup. terrible! read more

So I went here at 215 pm on a Wednesday. There was 1 customer in front Of me and we were waiting for an open teller. There were 2 teller that was working. One teller is helping 1 person that it seems like it was a long transaction because seriously she was there before I got there and after I left she was still on the same spot. There were 3 employees working on their desk with no customers. They were just talking to each other. And there was 1 guy walking around ( no clue what he was doing)... At this point I was already waiting for 20 min and 3 more people came in. since there was only one teller that was really helping us it was taking too long. By the time I was seen it was 250 pm. I was getting frustrated because there were these other employees just talking and didn't even bother to open up another window so that we can all move along. I'm giving it a 1 star because the teller that helped me was really pleasant. Otherwise I would've never given it a star at all! All I'm saying is employees should've helped the customers rather than chit chatting away! I have never seen this happened to any Ventura county bank except for this location. (I have been here 3 times and I swear it is the same thing every time I go here! That's why I would rather drive to port Hueneme or Camarillo location!) read more

I seen how much foot traffic along with appointments they have to get through, but they do it with a smile on their face and as quickly as possible! If you need to do something other than the a normal transaction, make an appointment and it'll make things a whole lot more pleasant. I opened an acct via online thinking it was going to be quick and easy. Not the case I still had to sign a document and mail it in. I waited 2 months before receiving a statement. I never received an atm card, I had to call and request for one and when I got it they only sent me one not one for the joint account holder. Their sign on process online is so ridiculously secure I have trouble signing on. It literally takes me 3 tries if not I get locked out. I am so frustrated and the only transaction I have done so far is my first initial deposit because doing anything online is so difficult. I have another account at Bank of America that I have had for over 20 yrs and have never experienced this. heading to the bank tomorrow to close it. I'm done. Super disappointed! read more

They take way too long to process checks if you deposit them into the ATM on a Friday. And that forces you to come inside where there is never more then 3 tellers open, I have banked with them for 2 years and I can't remember a time that I ever came in and didn't spend too much time waiting in line. read more

Professional work ethic is very difficult to find but not when it came to Jonathan Fregoso. I had a pre approval for a car loan and I was pleased to have found the car I was looking to finance. In my three vehicle purchases in the past few years I had never dealt with someone who could simply just get the job done and do what he specializes in. Jonathan has my business for as long as he chooses to be an MSR (Member Service Representative). He had more knowledge about my process then I expected any MSR to have. He's calm and collected. If something wasn't going right with the finance he wouldn't panic or make a big deal. He would simply do what a professional individual should and find solutions. He made my experiance with car financing the best by far. This is my number one MSR from this moment on. I know many people just give reviews just because the branch or certain location needs a higher rating but in this case, Jonathan earned every one of these 5 stars.
