The owners are rude and treat people poorly. You will pay for 4 inches of concrete and they will give you 3 inches I've seen it. I was there when they poured 4 huge pole barn floors for a landscaping company the guy paid for 6 inch floors they got 4 maybe 4.5 inches. They owners charges them for 6 inches and kept all the extra money be carful check everything. read more

My neighbor was getting a driveway and I noticed that they drove a 10 ton truck on my 3-ton rated asphalt driveway. I went to ask them to not do it any more and the response from both the truck driver and owner was extremely hostile. They both threatened to "kick my A"! I told them go ahead and try and they backed down. I called the police and 4 cops show up and speak to them. Imagine being threatened in your own front yard over a simple and initially cordial request. Lowlife scum IMO. read more

Contacted them for a small but urgent concreting job. They are not big on first impressions. They pick up the phone and say "hello" so you have to ask if you even have the right number. Anyhow, this Michael Ventry character says "call my estimator", his actual words. So I call this guy Matt Scott. He answers ("Hello"). So I get him to come out. He doesn't even measure the job, gets me to do it, quotes a price. I ask for a contact. No response. I email Ventry. Michael Ventry now calls to tell me he is not doing the job it is the hands of this Matt who may or may not be licensed, bonded, insured. Now a week is wasted because Ventry was not upfront about the situation. If he had told me on the first call that the job was too small for him than I would simply have left elsewhere. Worse, he's rude and overly defensive. No wonder he has all bad reviews. My advice is to stay away. read more

i had my driveway, porch and walkway done by ventry 2 years ago. My mothers neighbor had Ventry for their driveway, walkway, and porch and they had researched several companies, looking at the finished products, and were pleased and my sister had a stamped concrete patio done by them. Both are very happy with the work Ventry provided. Phil was professional and courteous. They did an excellent job. They went over and beyond my expectations. After the concrete was poured, I got a call at work from my daughter, the dog got out and ran across the concrete walkway and she ran after her leaving the dogs and her footprints in the concrete. i called Phil, he said to send a picture that the concrete is probably already setting but that it would fade. i sent him the picture and when i got home, i was expecting to see my concrete ruined however , they must have come back and smoothed it out , because the footprints were gone. To me that is going beyond what was expected. It was our fault the dog got out and my daughter chased after her. You can not tell there was ever any footprints there. Their pricing was reasonable, i have gotten compliments on my driveway by other professionals asking if it cost more than twice as much as i paid. I have seen their stamp on several driveways and walkways in our area. I would highly recommend them. read more

Ventry made an appt. for an estimate, then called shortly before the appointed time to say he couldn't make it. We re-rescheduled for the following evening, and this time he did not bother to call, he just did not show. I called the next day and he said he did not finish his job in time to keep my appt, and we made a 3rd appt. Of course, he was a no-show again, with no call. If the quality of is work is as poor as his word is, I am glad I did not use him. read more

Ventry completed entire driveway and sidewalk in May 2015. Within 7 months part of the driveway began to show signs of pitting and spalling. Layer of stones were coming through. When we called Ventry (the son) was rude and stated they did not offer any guarantee, but he would come by to take a look. We had to call 7-8 times after, again dealing with his attitude and promises to come by. Finally, after many phones calls he showed up in Jan. 2016 and stated the pitting was from the winter and salt. Buffalo had the mildest winter in history the winter of 2016 and we only saw one snowplow truck the entire winter. The concrete was not cracking, it was deteriorating. He then stated he would have his insurance person come by for an assessment, which took again several phone calls.requesting the promised assessment. Insurance agent did admit it could have been faulty concrete from being over mixed. Ventry finally agreed they would replace the area of pitting (1/3 of the driveway). The promise began in June of 2016. We called every week asking for a date and was constantly pushed into the next month. July we called four more times and were told they would get to us in September. In September we called three more time and was told they would talk to us in a few weeks. In October we called and the father told us we would see them in a week. To date Oct. 14, they have not done the work. We are now done with them and are requesting a refund. Would NOT recommend this company. We would be happy to show anyone the faulty work they did. read more
