I have no idea why the owner decided to call this restaurant "Roma" because he's from Napoli. Most regular customers are Italian expats, including my friend's dad. Everything is fresh and homemade, and the price is so reasonable! Fresh out of the coal-fired brick oven, their thin crust pizza was PHENOMENAL!! ! I Napoletani sanno fare la vera pizza! La pizza buonissima ottima qualità!!!! I also tried pollo alla Milanese and ravioli ai funghi, and they were absolutely delicious! The portion size was quite generous by any European standard that not even I could finish everything! Highly recommended!

Well, this restaurant is in the other direction (when leaving the Swissotel go right instead of left, then make a right on the street). It is in between the Messeplatz and Wettsteinplatz stops. Nice staff, and they speak a little English, just be patient with them. Entree and drink ~ 30 CHF.

Service was very good, even though the waitress had a number of tables to handle. Bread was served, but without accompaniments it was pretty boring. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese, which I enjoyed. The sauce was on the thick side, I'm probably more accustomed to a thinner sauce. The Strawberry Profiteroles were on the seasonal/monthly menu, and were excellent. Not sure if they're available year round. All in all, a good experience.

Found this place while driving around and saw their "american" beef menu which looks pretty interesting (they even list a tomahawk!) But since we arrived around 330pm, their "meat" menu doesnt statt until 5pm so we ordered some pasta. Food came out very quick and hot. Good flavor and good service. Definitely tastes house made. Large portions were filling. Would recommend! 2nd Visit on 1 Sep 2019. After our first visit, we were very impressed and decided to try it again. I decided to go for what they were advertising, their T Bone steak and my wife got the Pesto penne pasta. The restaurant was extremely busy so we knew it would be a wait. Everyones food that came out looked awesome so we were excited. When the food finally came, presentation was great, however that was it. The penne pasta taste was off. Just tasted like tons of butter. The t bone was the biggest disappointment. The steak was tough and looked like it was cooked frozen, even though the waitress denied it was frozen, i can cleaely tell it was. Also I ordered it medium rare, it came out medium well.

The service is warm and speedy (we needed to be out in less than an hour to catch a movie), the entree prices were very reasonable, and the food was quite good. Several tables around us ordered the pizza - looked great and would have been my choice if we had more time... Definitely worth a visit.

We also washed this down with a litre of Chianti. A lovely little restaurant of which I will definitely be visiting more often from now. From what I could see there is also a bar area to the rear of the restaurant, so a quick beer also looks possible, and they appear to offer a takeaway service too. To the owners and staff, thank you.
