We primarily worked through his office manager who was well trained and put us on track for a seamless transition and saved money to boot. Recently we discovered our kitchen/dining area flooded. Our neighbor helped to identify and seal the leak but the damage was extensive and we were scheduled to leave town. I was hesitant to call our agent, Jeremy, having never met him personally and it being a weekend. He quickly assessed our needs over the phone (while we traveled), arranged a meeting time a our home with our neighbor, and called in Service Pro, all within the hour. Fantastic! I have since had a few additional meetings with Jeremy and have discovered more of his personality. I find him to be not only on top of his game from a business stand-point but personally as well. I judge him to be truthful, straight forward, honest, and of good Christian morals. I feel blessed to have been led to this man.

While en route from Washington State to Texas, I stopped in Denver and purchased a car. I was…read morestumped about how and where to insure it until I established residency in Texas in mid-September. My current address is still in Washington, so, as I explained to my agent at Jamie Bowman State Farm in Spokane, it's a convoluted situation, and I didn't know what to do. The Spokane office advised me to insure the car in Colorado for the remaining time I planned to be here. So I called a Denver State Farm agent. Her response was essentially, "Hold up, let me investigate this for you!" And she did. She called Texas and then got back to me. The Texas agent she spoke with asked that I call her directly and advised me to keep my Washington State insurance until I actually move to Texas. When I spoke with her, she explained that insurance largely follows the VIN and that, since I am temporarily in Colorado, my Washington policy should remain in place until my move. Finally, I thought, a definitive answer. I called the Jamie Bowman State Farm office to explain what both the Colorado and Texas agents had told me. Instead of trying to reconcile the conflicting advice, the conversation became heated. I was again told that I needed Colorado insurance. "Well, those states disagree," I said. "They advised me to keep it with you at Jamie Bowman." At that point, the agent became agitated and finally said, "Do what you want." That was the most disappointing part of the experience. I wasn't asking her to know the answer to an unusual interstate insurance situation magically. I was asking for help sorting it out. Two other State Farm offices took the time to investigate and communicate with one another. The office -- Jamie Bowman in Spokane -- that already had my business did not. I came away frustrated, uncertain--and surprised by how dismissively I was treated when I was trying to make sure I was properly insured.
