She was fantastic at taking pictures of our group at each winery, allowing us to document the experience along the way. The wineries that we visited all had a good variety of wine tastings, including different whites, reds, and mocktails for the ladies that were not able to drink. The people who served us at the wineries were very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine tour that we booked included a lunch and they were able to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Our tour director, Eliane, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Roxanne, our driver, was amazing as she navigated Manhattan traffic, taking the bus through spots that most would avoid even in a compact car. The bus itself was clean, although the seats were less than comfortable for such a long drive, even with frequent rest stops. The hotel was lovely, and breakfasts were very good. We likely will not do another bus tour, preferring to set our own schedule, but this was an excellent way to see New York for the first time.

Our Tour Director was Natasha and Driver named Miriam on a Kunkel coach bus. The trip was scheduled for travel on day 1 and 4. Day 2 and 3 was a guided tour and happened to be two of the hottest & humid days in NYC; 90 followed by 100 degrees temperature only! The hotel was very nice and the guided part of the trip was just enough history and information about the sights to make it a very memorable vacation. Crossing the border was an unbelievable experience, both TO in record time and BACK having the bus searched, all luggage and all passengers had to carry in all their belongings & purchases into the Customs office for processing. Thank you Natasha and Miriam for making it an exciting adventure!

Eldon House is a walk from our hotel and downtown London area. It's a home where the Harris family…read morelived from 1834 and the home was donated in the mid 1900's and since been restored for viewing. The house different rooms and signs to explain the contents. The lower floor has many of the hunting trophies from the various animals killed in Africa by one of the grandsons. It also shows the servant's kitchen, sitting room with many artifacts from the travels around the world. Upstairs are various bedrooms and bathroom. A guide greeted us when we went into the house and there were only two other visitors. It's pay by donation at the front of the house. We spent less than an hour in the house but enjoyed reading and seeing the history of this prominent family.

The Eldon House is a great historical house museum. Admission is by donation ($5 suggested, but…read morepay what you will.) The house was donated to the city with most of the original belongings still in it, which is pretty rare for house museums. The tour is self guided, and you can wander about all of the rooms at your leisure. A guide greets you at the door, and gives you some background information. There are some interpretive panels as you go, but not an overwhelming amount of reading. It's very cool to see a fully furnished historical home set up as it would have been in the early 1900s. I especially liked seeing the kitchen, as well the children's play room (complete with creepy dolls!) Keep an eye out for the weird hunting trophies in the house -- and look for the elephant foot umbrella stand! (This is not a euphemism. It is a literal elephant foot that was turned into an umbrella stand.) During the summer they offer afternoon tea on the patio, and they run a variety of special events, lectures, tours, and classes throughout the year. The Eldon house is definitely worth a quick visit, if you're visiting or a local. I believe they also rent out the venue for private functions. They don't have their own parking lot; you'll need to find metered parking on Ridout street or park in a nearby pay lot. I hope to come back for a special event sometime soon! Hired to take us to the Detroit airport for 7 am flight. The pick up time was 2 am, when they…read moredidn't show I called the owner. He couldn't even contact the driver. Found out after that the driver claimed he was told 2pm. Thankfully we were all leaving from a friends farm and our vehicles were parked there already, so we loaded up 3 of them (12 in our group) and started for Sarnia. The difficult part of this is if we drove ourselves to Detroit, our return flight was to Toronto, how do we get our vehicles from Detroit? Thoughtfully the owner had our vehicles driven back to the farm (more on that later). On route the owner called and gave us an address south of Sarnia, told to meet there and we would have a limo waiting. The driver drove about 140km/hr to get us there as quick as he could to make our flight (scary). We had gone through a panic state, used our own gas for 3 vehicles, 200 kms round trip and when asked if we would get a partial refund for their mistake, he gave us $300 back on a $1500 bill. After paying our friends for the gas money for using their vehicles, that left just under $200 refunded for what could have been a huge problem. When inquired about being a little more considerate since we drove 1/2 the distance to Detroit and 1/4 of our round trip contract, I received no more correspondence. Sadly I will not be using or recommending this company to anyone, which is tragic because I like to support small, local businesses but customer satisfaction and word of mouth does not concern this company.

Water was high and running fast, with a couple of challenges along. Chili was great and both the kayakers and canoeists had a lot of fun. Just a great day on the water. Thanks for everything.

I will try to remain calm as I write this review... TRY being the key word. We drove about an hour…read moreand a half to arrive in Paris, ON for a "guided" rafting tour. When I contacted Grand Experiences, they stated that the only rafting time they had for Groupon holders was 11AM. We arrived slightly after 11AM, and were then surprised with a "transportation" fee of $5 per person to the rafting site. That's a bit steep considering we were just transported on a minivan. That is probably one of the most expensive trips I've taken. You first meet up at their shop on Grand River Street which sells kayaks and other paddling gear. You then drive to what will end up as your END point when you finish your rafting tour, park there, and are driven to the START point of the rafting tour. 1) When we arrived at the END point, we waited a good 30-45 minutes before the "transportation" arrived to pick us up. 2) We were then dropped off at the START point, and the driver left us to go back and pick up more kayaks etcetera, and told us that other customers would be joining us and would be dropped off by a bus. 1 hour, yes, 1 hour later, the bus arrived with an array of kayakers and the remaining lot of rafters. The rafting tour that was supposed to start at 11AM, didn't take off until 1PM. We were provided with life jackets (wet suits will cost you extra to rent), and seeing as we weren't doing any extreme rafting we opted to go without. We were a group of 5 + another group of 4 to make up a 9-(wo)man raft. Our guide would kayak alongside us. We were given verbal instructions at the beginning of the tour. The tour itself was nothing exciting, and I got fatigued quite early because it was basically myself, William T, and another fellow rafter who paddled the whole time. Everyone else really took the notion of "scenic rafting" to heart and sat and chatted. Even though I went on a Groupon ($16), I felt that the experience was horrible. The waiting without explanation thinking "Maybe they left us and went to lunch" was really annoying. I woke up at 7:30AM just to make sure we had enough time to drive up only to find out that I could've slept in a few more hours. I think I'll probably go with the competition (Grand River Rafting) next time if I want to do some paddling. Stay away from these guys.

Our car club did a road rally to the Labatt brewery in London. We had probably 3 dozen members…read moreattend the brewery tour and all were impressed with the wealth of knowledge that was shared. A nice visit to their museum-grade trucks of old was part of the tour. The finishing touch was a beer sampling in their hospitality room, where we not only tasted 5 beers, but we learned about the different ingredients and brewing processes of each. The tour was conducted with each attendee being issued safety glasses and a headset/hearing protection muffs. There were few instances where we could not receive the tour on the headsets, but that was mainly due to becoming spread out and around a corner from the tour guide. Reservations are required. There are certain rules and regulations for attending, and there was a nominal fee, I think it was $5 per adult person. I recommend!!
