Just had the most wonderful day at Phūla in Coral Gables and I'm absolutely thrilled with my hair!…read moreI've traveled a lot the past few years and have visited many salons along the way, but this place is the answer. Milanka gave me the most thoughtful color consultation - she actually took time to go through all my inspiration photos and really listened to what I wanted. We worked together tweaking the color until it was exactly right, and the dimension and tone are absolutely perfect. Angelica gave me the most incredible layered cut and completely saved my curtain bangs--I'd been struggling with uneven growth for months, and she not only created gorgeous layers with amazing movement but helped plan how my bangs could grow out evenly for my next cut. She took the time to make sure everything was perfect after it was dry and sent me out with products that helped my blowout last for days upon days! What really impressed me was their hospitality throughout the entire appointment. Jose constantly checked in, offering a cozy blanket, keeping my water refreshed, and even brought me a glass of Prosecco! When they were ordering lunch, they included me in their group order - they truly made me feel like family. I also loved that they use R+Co products, which smell amazing and left my hair feeling so much healthier and softer. For anyone in Coral Gables looking for a luxurious salon experience with the best color, cut, and gloss at a place that feels like family - book your appointment at Phula! Already planning my return trip to Miami to lineup with future cut and color needs :)

I was then scheduled with Bianca (the only reason this place is getting 3 stars) who did an amazing job and knows how to keep a positive atmosphere. She took her time which for me is everything because it proves she truly does take her work serious. She did BEAUTIFUL highlights on me, constantly checking on the bleach, and knowing what i wanted during consultation. Danny was rude towards the end at check-out ,as most of my tip went to Bianca of course as she spent over 7 hours on my hair. Danny charged me 330 dollars (not complaining, i knew the price before i walked in the door) for a 5 minute haircut which does not compare to 7 hours, then you wanna be rude because of the $110 tip difference between you and your employee? After hearing how Danny canceled an appointment because of a sudden " family death " which later popped out with instagram posts on vacation, he is the type to steal the tip. As I was leaving I told him " Bye, have a good night." this man looked me dead in the eye as I walked out. I am not upset nor mad, just glad that I know I will never step foot in this salon again. 2 other male hairdressers made sneaky comments about my sister thinking I couldnt hear them. I mean honestly their work is beautiful, they have hands full of skills... but the attitudes, side comments, going nonverbal, its not for me. Customer service is everything to me. If you do go, I highly recommended to book with Bianca!

Let me first off start by saying I haven't had my hair cut since I moved to Miami last summer. I had my favorite hairstylist and when I moved I was sad to leave. I left with my hair shiny, healthy and beautifully sculpted. I'll be back again for sure. Thanks Diva's!
