He originally quoted me 13 pallets to Install but only 11 showed up. He was late to house as the truck was delivering it. Showed up in his house, clothes and house slippers. I had already begun the process of telling the truck driver where to put the pallets of sod. He left after they were laid out and said he would be back to get the job done when he returned hours later He & two boys under the age of maybe 15 started laying sod. After an hour he text and said he would be back the next day with more help and would be done. I told him that would be fine. As long as he got the job done. Thatafternoon was going to be raining. So I had to put Hay out and the silt fence back up that they had all taken off the yard in preparation to lay the sod. When they returned the next day, to lay the sod, they remove the hay and started a pile of trash across the road with a silt fence and slowly started putting empty pallets across the road as well. They did not finish that day, but said they would return the next day to finish. I said that would be fine. Just get it done. The next day rather than finishing the job they left 3/4 of a pallet of sod that had not been laid, and proceeded to tell me that I was going to need at least four more pallets. This was upsetting because it was well over what he said it would take to do do the job. However, I paid for four more pallets and asked him if the saw that they didn't lay was gonna go bad. He assured me it would be fine. However, after talking with multiple sod farms and his own father, it was Made known to me that the sod, which had been sitting there for a week, because we were waiting on the four other pallets of sod to be delivered. Had gone bad and needed to be trashed. Thankfully, the sod company sent an extra pallet to make up for the sod that went bad. During all this time of three weeks, I consistently and constantly. I asked EDWARD to please. haul off the trash that had piled up across the road, clean out the flowerbed(which I paid extra for him to do)And to get rid of the bad sod that was laying in the yard still! I spent many days trying to track down him through text and phone calls to go day sometimes without him responding. He would say he'd be there the next day to do something and then not show up. As a result, I personally cleaned out the flowerbeds myself and Ironically,He showed up with a guy the next day To do the flowerbeds & the other things, but since I had already did 95% of all the flowerbeds, they ended working for an hour, and then left again, not to be heard from for another couple days! The HOA did not like the pile of trash sitting across the road for 3 1/2 weeks Edward constantly kept saying he would get it, but never did I had to get a trailer myself, and my kids to help me haul it off to the dump. When the 5 pallets we were waiting on were delivered I chose to lay that SOD myself, because I did not trust him to do it correctly. He has not completed 1 single thing hewas supposed to of done. He didn't finish laying the first 11 pallets of sod. He didn't complete the flowerbeds. He didn't haul off the trash that he left across the road: about the only thing that he was good about, Was getting money from me. I gave him half upfront. And he asked for another 500 so that he could fix his truck. Which apparently never was fixed. He made me pay for the extra pallets of sod, which I thought was kind of messed up since he originally quoted me that it would take 11 possibly 13. He also asked for the remaining balance so that he could pay his crew, so they wouldn't quit on them. I ended up giving $ b/c I thought that if he would pay his guys it WOULD get done but they never showed up. Turns out that he NOT only didnt know how many pallets it would take to do the yard , the 1st time, & he was wrong the 2ndtime with telling me 4 more pallets. Because the 5 pallets that were delivered, and laid still do not cover. I still Need 3 more!
