Despite have 3 times the lab staff that they had when they were independent, you will have an unacceptable wait time. Quest will then ask for your insurance information ( which you just gave to the front desk). Two days later you will receive a bill directly from Quest telling you that payment is due NOW despite them not submitting it to your insurance. The doctors and office staff are wonderful but Allina has truly made this a nightmare experience!

Now my doctor knows me from seeing her so long and that is why even when I moved over an hour away, I still see her. She is honestly the best doctor I have seen. She works very closely with my specialist and is willing to discuss new treatments. Labs now have Quest philobotomists who as the old commercial says "thats all they do and they do it well." I have difficult veins and I have never had to be poked twice. They update the decor in the building every few years and it is always clean. Dr. Omlie told me in front of witnesses at 5 separate office appointments that the orthopedic surgeon botched the surgery. He told us the orthopedic surgeon caused the death of my lower limbs. He told me that the orthopaedic surgeon misdiagnosed me and that my limbs were dying due to the orthopedic surgeon botched the surgery. He told me in front of witnesses at five separate appointments. At first, Dr. Omlie was concerned, trying to save me from blood poisoning. I felt grateful that he seemed sincere and cared about my well-being. Then Dr. Omlie switched everything he said to us. We took photos and notes at every appointment. Dr. Omlie had a meeting with the other doctors in the group and Fairview. All of a sudden my diagnosis changed. Dr. Omlie's disposition changed in fear of a medical malpractice lawsuit. He was wrong. He did not uphold the medical Hippocratic oath in our opinion. Dr. Omlie was completely on my side telling my family what happened to me at first he believed it was compartment syndrome. I didn't know what that was. Dr. Omlie explained he the surgery was devastating to my lower limbs the bandages from the operation were wrapped aggressively tight cutting off blood flow then death to my feet. He said, I would lose both of my feet, and he would salvage the heels and ankle. I was absolutely devastated. "A healthy person goes into, what most think of as a minor surgery and loses their feet" Dr. Suggested that I wait for a bit until demarcation was finished and he would know where to amputate. My family and I were dealing with this unbelievable tragedy. We felt he was completely reckless and his lack of medical care could of killed me. 2 days later, I'm at the hospital for a previously scheduled appointment with a doctor who was extremely concerned about the Orthopedic surgeon NOT Me. He was absolutely unethical. I went to go stop and see Dr. Omlie to tell him what happened and he completely changed. He said, the group called a meeting and we should let the surgeon (that almost killed me and did kill my feet) be in surgery with him. Now Omlie wants the inept orthopedic surgeon involved that "killed my feet" in another operation, while he's amputating me! ??? I was stunned, he flipped on a dime. When I tried to tell him what the unethical doctor did, he laughed and said "I'll have to have a little talk with those boys". We were completely dumbfounded. He completely changed what he was telling us prior for weeks. Then he was referring to his colleagues as "boys". In our opinion, Dr Omlie changed his story-diagnosis and treatment of care for greed. His medical group was way more important then his patient's life. I was heartbroken, I really wanted to believe that Dr. Omlie had ethics. As I stated, this my personal experience with Dr. Omlie. I truly hope no one experiences the horror experiences I had with him. My whole network of friends still have nightmares about the unethical treatment we witnessed and I received.

I was told I had to pay 7 days in advance, the amount remaining of my deductible / out of pocket expense. I paid the $4000.00 that was required out of my HAS account on 06-01-2026. The problem is this payment was never relayed to Medica. So to Medica, I still had the full amount of remaining out of pocket to meet. I am getting Medica EOBs and bills where I owe payment even though my early payment for the hip surgery brought me to within $100 of my max out of pocket. I now have the challenge of tracking all my other bills, EOBs and payments and then somehow convey those to Medica and to TCO Excel to figure how to get a refund for payments beyond my max out of pocket total. Taxes may be an issue if it cannot be refunded back into my HAS account (HSA account is tax differed). This is very frustrating. If I could go back, I would not have paid the up front money or would have gone a different route for my hip replacement and not use TCO Excel. I have had disk replacement in my back, the early surgery on my hip, and my wife had a hip replacement at other providers. No prepayment was required for those surgeries and billing was not as confusing or required effort on my part to track my payments.
