I was in yesterday and bought some fruits and veggies and was charged $5.00 for using DEBIT card. The bank doesn't charge the merchant for use of debit card only for use of CREDIT card. The Veggie Patch is effectively scamming customers who use their debit card and this is unethical. read more

I love that this place is conveniently located on highway 29 in the same lot as the Chevron station. This review is for people who are thinking of coming here to shop during COVID. I walked in with my mother, and the place was PACKED-- they aren't controlling how many people come into the tiny place at all. We went to pick some tomatoes out to put in a basket (there was a sign saying they are sold by the basket) and an employee who WASNT EVEN WEARING A MASK came up to us and told us we weren't allowed to do it ourselves because of COVID and she started touching them all. Then another girl came right up next to us to help us bag them. The tomatoes ended up being delicious and I get that this is all still relatively new but the way they were running things made absolutely ZERO sense! read more

We got tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon, cucumbers, plums and strawberries. They were all very fresh, ripe and delicious. The cantaloupe was the best I have had in years to tell you the truth. We haven't eaten the watermelon yet but I'm sure it is going too be great. Everyone was very helpful and we are definitely going back! read more

I went here last weekend and started transferring peaches from a large basket into a bag, when an employee started arguing with me that I wasn't allowed to pick out my own fruit that I wanted to purchase. She harassed me the whole time about how I should have to just take whatever peaches they'd already put into the smaller baskets, and then overcharged me. I was in such a hurry to get out of there I didn't notice the overcharge until I got home. This weekend I went to Country Gardens Farm and Farm to Fork, both places had lovely peaches and nobody at either place harangued me as I picked out the peaches I wanted to purchase. I moved south to Newnan from the hinterlands of Forsyth County, after being led to the young lady that I was wedded to three weeks ago. I have been nosing around Newnan and environs for three months now, looking for new hangouts, local culture, and places to eat. I spotted this neatly kept business while venturing north on US 29 from GA 34, and pulled in. There were three very energetic persons stacking, cleaning, and arranging all kinds of produce, jellies, local breads, flowers and ornamental plants. Miss Laura, the owner, greeted me in the neighborly Southern style and invited me to look around and holler if I had any questions or needed some help. What I noticed first were large baskets of small, fresh, crispy green okra for $4.00 each, settled right next to large baskets of firm, crisp, blemish-free pole beans, also for $4.00. Each basket, as verified by my kitchen, yields 6 to 8 servings of Southern table yumminess. Then, I spotted the large, deliriously red slicer tomatoes for $5.00 for a basket containing 5 beauties. She also has the same size baskets of ripe tomatoes (use within 48 hours) for $4.00. I got the $4.00 basket, and, yes, they were all eaten within 48 hours. Also featured were tangelos (I love 'em), ruby red grapefruit, and navel oranges, each sold by the basket at $4.00 each. Currently, she has yellow crookneck squash, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and new potatoes. From day to day, the variety changes due to supply constraints, and Miss Laura's high standards. I am a regular customer now, and a happy one!. read more
