I hired this company to replace my roof along with the guttering, soffits and fascia. I worked with…read morethis company before, but this time there were multiple unexpected material and contract changes because products were offered, then not available. I was not given a clear date for work to begin after asking,
they just appeared one day and removed all my guttering. Multiple rainy days passed with no guttering so there was damage to the soil around my house. They then appeared early on my only day off, waking me with banging and blasting a radio in my quiet cul-de-sac. My garage was blocked by a trailer being used as a dumpster, and this was fine as I understand it saved them money vs what the insurance company paid them for a dumpster, but they left debris all over my driveway and yard including a
branch from my tree that was cut off and left in the middle of my back yard. They finished all of the roof in one day so they were banging away until 10:30pm and left without cleaning up. After their cleanup the next day, there were nails everywhere and that tree branch to contend with. When the gutters were installed days later, they were a smaller size than I was contracted for. It rained the next day and due to all the downspouts being angled a different way than they originally were, my home was surrounded by thick mud and my basement had water in it. I politely communicated this and the next day, the very bottom spout of HALF of my downspouts were crudely rotated. I just decided to come up with my own solutions to stop the water. I received invoices very shortly after for about $22,000 worth of work. My insurance was paying $16500, and I did not get funds from them for a week. I then got emails about payment which I get, although despite asking them to contact my personal email they continued to send to my work email. I came by to give them a check and pay the other $5000 via a credit card, and I was stunned to hear that I can't due to them getting rid of their processing company. I asked for patience because I had not planned to pay that much with cash and most people cannot come up with that quickly. After another few hard rains I noticed a leak in the roof in the rear of my house in my living
room. I told them this, they told me there was nothing wrong with the roof and they added sealer to a single vent pipe flashing. Based on how many issues I quietly accepted, and how polite I constantly was, I believed they would be understanding about it taking time to come up with cash, but after 30 actual days (not business days) I got an email at work telling me that if I did not pay the rest immediately, there would be fees. They never told me and nowhere in the contract was it stated that I can't pay with a card, so I asked for leniency on the timeline for payment due to THEIR miscommunication. I got a very rude and insulting email from the owner telling me he regrets that I didn't read the contract I signed and that I needed to pay. It states that there is a convenience fee applied to any non pre-approved payments other than cash or check. This does NOT imply that this business cannot take a card payment and it does NOT say that all
payments have to be pre approved. I would gladly pay a convenience fee but they literally can't process cards and did not offer any resolution besides immediate payment with a check. Right after this extremely rude conversation with the owner, I drove to them and wrote a check draining my savings. I now have a leaking roof, with wonky shingles on the ridge, undersized guttering that erodes my lawn, errant pieces of flashing and backing sticking out in multiple places, an endless supply of wood and nails
being discovered by my lawnmower, and a really bad taste in my mouth. I would not even consider this business again, they have no consideration for customer service. I will have repairs completed by a different business.
