TWO VISITS ------------ ONE WEEKEND - We spent a super busy Sunday afternoon here (couple hour wait, as more critical cases kept coming in), while I appreciate them taking those critical cases in ahead of us it was getting quite long to wait. Thankfully it feels like home with the couches, snacks and drinks and the front staff were extra super duper nice and kind. We found out no Temaril p which would be nice to have known ahead of time as she was just having a bad allergy season. We ended up just doing a Dexsp shot which brought her welts down. I don't feel like the staff that took her temperature had it positioned right because our dog looked and acted extremely uncomfortable. ONE WEEKDAY - The next day, we were back there a very early Monday morning (5am) here for more allergy welts. A bit worse this time. The doctor and male nurse were both INCREDIBLE. Also it was less busy this time which was refreshing to be seen so quickly. Overall we will be back for any emergencies!

Wonderful emergency care. My pup unfortunately didn't make it, but the team took time to try their hardest with CPR, etc. They are very caring and understanding of loss. They let my family and I take our time with my 11 year old pup. I was traveling from out of town and they made sure to get my pups remains back in time before I left and with extra care. I would recommend them over and over. Alexis is a wonderful associate to work with.

Well, I just came back from WCAH, where I paid $206 for the examination and 3 different types of medications. Turns out that his eye lid wasn't actually torn (I could not see it well because he is a very furry dog), so he doesn't even need stitches because the wound is so superficial. Just antibiotic, pain killer and eye drops. So VEG was going to do sutures just to get more $ out of us. That's disturbing. So much about the "top quality attention" and the $175 examination, they didn't even clip the hair around his eyes (he is very furry) which would have made it obvious that it was just a scrape.

Thankful for the blunt honesty I was given while here during a scary few hours with my older cat…read more It helped me make educated and selfless decisions for my sweet baby. Their staff is nice & courteous but the communication among the employees sucks. I made numerous…read morecalls to numerous clinics because my dog probably had a ruptured disc & time is of the essence to get him into surgery to fix this issue before it causes irreversible damage to his legs. I was advised on Sunday April 19 that I would need to go to Blue Pearl at Brentwood, not the Nashville location, not NVMS but Blue Pearl in Brentwood. I needed someone on Sunday but I was told that no one was on call or available. We could bring him up there & they would hospitalize him until Monday morning 7 hopefully a neurologist would be able to see him Monday. I did not choose that option but I was informed that if I was bringing him Monday then I would need to be there by 5AM to admit him through the ER & then he would be transferred to Neurology. So I get up and leave my house before 3AM & drive 127 miles to Brentwood location. He is assessed & is sitting in the kennel for 2 hours before I get a call letting me know that the MRI machine is down & they do not know if it is going to be fixed that day or what time & do not know if they will be able to do the MRI on him that day or not but time is of the essence once they have lost deep pain in their legs which I was told had already happened. So we call around & find out that Murray, KY vet has a CT machine & they can do the scan & see if it will pick up his damage & then head to Paris for the vet that had recently retired from Mineral Wells clinic recently who had graciously agreed to do his surgery for us. He said my dog had not lost deep pain sensation like what was told to us by one of your vets. I wasted 7 hours of his time by going to your clinic & then having to fight Nashville traffic to get to Murray, KY which is about an hour or so from my house. Luckily, they think my dog will be able to walk again but he would probably be walking by now had we not driven all around Middle TN trying to get my dog assessed & wasting his time, our time & our gas. YOUR facilities need to work on your communication because the receptionist did not know the MRI was down, the person that checked us in did not mention an issue with the MRI & the vet did not mention it until we wasted 2 hours in Brentwood driving around killing time while waiting for a neurologist to come on duty. I don't know how you can call your clinic an emergency clinic when there is no one on call or on duty on the weekends & no one to call in to help save an animal on the weekend. Piss poor excuse for a vet clinic in my opinion. Rant over & don't worry, I will never step foot in your clinic ever again & I will let everyone know that if you have an emergency, you are screwed if you think they will get treated at Blue Pearl

A Difficult Experience During a Painful Time…read more Losing a pet is incredibly hard, and when we faced the sudden decline of our beloved four-legged family member a year ago, we were emotionally vulnerable. Our regular vet recommended NVS when our senior dog suddenly couldn't move and was in obvious distress. We share this backstory to highlight our state of mind during our visit. After the initial exam, we were told our dog's condition could be terminal cancer or something else entirely, requiring surgery and tests for a definitive diagnosis. When we pressed for a prognosis, we received vague answers: days or weeks if it was terminal cancer, possibly years if it was something else. Given her advanced age, we questioned if putting her through surgery was truly in her best interest, and even asked about euthanasia, but received little guidance. The most jarring moment came when the surgeon, called in specially, told us, "I can give you five minutes to decide on the surgery. Then I leave" This comment, more than anything, shifted our focus from our pet's well-being to the surgeon's impatience. It left a lasting negative impression during an already agonizing decision-making process. Despite the uncertainty, and given less than ten minutes total to decide, we opted for surgery. The outcome was the worst-case scenario: terminal cancer. She might have weeks, maybe a few months. Ironically, the same surgeon who showed little empathy earlier offered the most poignant advice: "Be as present with her as you can." This, too, has stayed with us. During this stressful time, the discussion of costs arose. Over the phone, we were quoted upwards of $7,000, with an itemized breakdown including the initial exam, surgeon's consult, and surgical costs. We painstakingly confirmed the grand total multiple times, even writing it down for our records, as we were not at our best. We were told complications might make this go higher, but we would be called beforehand. At the end ended up around 10 thousand plus. There was no call. However, upon picking up our dog post-op, the bill was significantly higher. We were told we had "misheard" or "misunderstood," which we firmly disagreed with. They claimed the calls were recorded and they would listen back, leading us to believe the discrepancy would be resolved. We paid the inflated amount to take our dog home, but despite numerous follow-up calls, we never received a response or resolution regarding the overcharge. Our precious and loyal furbaby passed away just three weeks after the surgery. Now, with some distance, we can reflect on our experience. While we cannot blame NVS for her terminal condition, the overall lack of empathy and care shown towards both our pet and us during such a vulnerable time, coupled with the billing issue and subsequent unresponsiveness, lack oh empathy makes it impossible for us to recommend their services. One more thing the people at the front desk are just rude and cold with no c We still not hear from anyone to do a follow up on Torry and this means they don't care and just to hear their name make me sick. At the end of the day this place could and should be more understanding, emphatetic of the hard time when we deal with the health of our family members but for them is only money signs and like my grandmother used to say " actions speak Lauder then words? in this case no word nor actions.

Very poor customer service at the corporate level, I highly recommend finding another place for your animal and their needs as we will not use Petco ever again.!! It's not a 100% guarantee.
