We saw a show here and there are no bad seats in the house! However wish there was another bathroom because the line was very long and took a while to get through everyone.

Welcome to the Vaudeville Theatre.

We finished up a transatlantic cruise to Europe and wound up ion London for a few days. During that time it was our anniversary and went to the theatre. Since we were in London, I had to go see 'SIX' again. (My fifth time.) I just love this show, or as they say "consort." The theater is very easy to get to by bus or underground and there were plenty of local eating spots close by. We chose Italian and really enjoyed it (It has its own review.) It's a very comfortable theatre and making our way to the seats were easy. The staff here was wonderful for directions as we walked into the theatre. The seats were a nice cozy size and I never felt like I was "squished" to the person next to me. Our seat were wonderful in the orchestra dead center. The acoustics are great and the show, being more like a concert sounded fabulous. I am definitely looking forward to a return trip and if "SIX" is still hee... I will see it agin. KUDOs to the team at the Vaudeville Theatre.

Very nice, small and clean location! It felt very personal! loved the SIX musical! Small enough there was no bad seats

Came to Vaudeville to see Six and loved my experience here. Sat in the dressing circle so we were pretty high up and had to lean forwards the whole time but that did not inhibit our experience. I was a bit worried at first that the performers would move to far forwards on the stage so that we wouldn't be able to see anything, but that didn't turn out to be a problem, we saw everything including their facial expressions. As for Six, I really enjoyed this musical which I would argue rivals that of Hamilton's concept. I did not expect the musical to be more like a concert but I did really appreciate it with an all-female band and cast. I did, however, as an American, have a bit of trouble understanding the full storyline/history of Henry VIII's 6 wives because I couldn't quite catch the British accent but I had a great time nonetheless. It was a pretty short musical though by comparison, only 1.5 hours. As for the theatre itself, I will say that I was surprised how small the chairs were but I would say that it is a very cozy size and it's interesting to be able to see how many layers the theatre has. The bathrooms are a bit small though, but I will definitely come back to watch more shows.

We came as a group to watch Six. I was the one person in the party who wasn't thrilled with the plan, but I'm a team player, so I came along. I have to say, Six was better than expected and a fun time. The music was great, and the singing was phenomenal.

A couple of friends and I saw Six at the Vaudeville Theatre and loved it! We were seated in the Grand Circle and could see and hear everything perfectly. There was even a gift shop/bar on the upper level.

This lovely, historic theatrical venue hosted a brilliant performance of "Six" in early 2023. It was a frantic day-and-a-half long visit by a friend from Boston on her first visit to the UK since before the pandemic. From a whistle-stop drive around Romsey, Southampton and Winchester, to parking in Morden and taking the Tube up into London, we raced to the Half-Price Ticket Booth for tickets to "Six." After scrambling for dinner, we got to the Vaudeville Theatre, where the audience was electric even before the show started. From the nosebleed section, we could see many young people from school groups who lit up the place, further animating the lovely, intimate Romanesque and Art Nouveau interiors of the theatre. "Six" is an amazing production that brings history to life with a diverse, very modern range of singing styles and visually titillating costumes. All 10 stage performers were outstanding and the singers have charismatic resonance galore. As icing on the cake, we ventured through the narrow, historic alley to the right of the theatre, leading to the Stage Door entrance and got our programs signed by a few of the performers. All in all, it was a wonderful night out and this venue continues to really put on a show.

A cosy theatre, I went here to watch a play and although I bought a cheap tickets the seats were brilliant, I could see and hear the actors clearly. The only thing that was annoying was the seats - move a little and it might gobble you up, it was one of those flippy cinema type seats. And being quite tall there wasn't a lot of leg room. Not massive issues but worth mentioning. I'll definitely be coming back here.

Went here for the first time yesterday to watch an actor I admire - David Suchet - playing the role of Lady Bracknell and what an amazing play it was! Highly recommended. The theatre is one of the older and smaller theatres in London. We were on the second level, so I didn't really see the level above us. But from what I could see at our level and the stalls is that almost all the seats had wonderful views of the stage. Very few pillars block the audience view, except maybe 3-4 seats on the sides. There isn't a huge amount of legroom - which is quite a common feature in Londons theatres - but it isnt hugely uncomfortable either. Someone with average height could fit in without banging their knees or sitting cramped up. But I did see a lot of the taller men having trouble fitting into their assigned spaces. Couple of them got up during the first interval and relocated themselves to empty seats at the end of the rows to be able to sit more comfortably. There is a bar (American Airlines flight experience?) at the circle level offering drinks and bar snacks and you can take drinks in paper or plastic cups into the theatre. Unusually for one of the older established theatres, they was no objection to us taking in our cups of coffee from cafe Nero into the seating area. Most others only allow you to carry their own drinks inside. Very clean and the seating all looks fresh, although the ceilings need a bit of a touch of paint. Staff were all friendly and unobtrusive. We loved our visit to Vaudeville Theatre. And "the Importance of Being Earnest" is highly recommended!

This theatre is quite small. I was in row N and so was sat near the back in which usually in any other theatres that would be like the middle of the seats (stalls) but in this theatre was near back as not so many rows. seats covered in red material and was quite comfy. The stage is also small but love the long drop red curtain. Staff helpful and polite. A good theatre though for a more intimate feel. Went and saw Bill Bailey Jan 2016. He was very funny and very talented. I did not know that he could play so many different instruments amazing musically talented as well as being a great comedian which he is known for. I also loved his story about when he went to see the northern lights which never happened (the lights that is).

Jeff Goldblum and Mercedes Ruehl at the Vaudeville Theatre

For a theater that has been around since 1870, the Vaudeville surely didn't disappoint! It was quite small and intimate and you could hear the actors even "way back" in the 16th row. The air conditioning kept the place cool, the break was long enough to split a tiny carton of Häagen-Dazs with my boyfriend and all of the staff were courteous and helpful. The only downside is that the Ladies Toilets were very, very small and a bit awkward. P.S. - We were lucky enough to catch "The Prisoner of Second Avenue" starring the fabulous Jeff Goldblum (my absolute fave actor) and the very funny Mercedes Ruehl here last night. Catch it if you can!

Liane T.

Great moderate sized theatre with reasonably comfortable seats and good acoustics. Went there for a comedy show with Rich Hall (AMAZING) and really enjoyed the experience. If a show comes along that you would like to see there, I would definitely suggest it.

In this case, the show aged well, and the props and costumes have clearly had time and money invested as this was the best rendition of Phantom I've seen to date. There was fire, light effects, great structures and hidden trapdoors, fake balconies, even a mysterious Houdini chair (no spoilers) and the production of Phantom here is clearly worth the full house it had tonight. Standing ovation at the end and tons of fun souvenirs to takeaway memories of the show. I sat in A21, center of the front row of balcony, and the view was perfect, showing just the bottom of the stage up. If I leaned forward, I could see into the pit which the ground floor seats could not. All the music was played by the incredible orchestra in the pit, Four private boxes at the front sides were filled with two persons each, which could be a fun return trip. I hope to definitely be back for another viewing some day. Incredible!

I was so excited to be there for one of the previews of 'Other Desert Cities' and curious as to how that would work with the theatre having just been reconfigured to 'in the round'. It actually worked very well, and while we in the upper level, I can imagine it would be particularly interesting to be in the seats that were vitrually part of the set. I think I spied Melvin Bragg Down there. Who-ever it was he seemed to enjoy the show as much as us. OK perhaps it wasn't what I would call must-see theatre but it had a little something for everyone, and despite its dark nature in places, we had plenty of knowing belly laughs too. Since press night its been garnering a solid four stars. Perhaps because the show was in preview we were able to bag reasonably priced tickets at the box office direct. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we popped in the day before to check on availability. If there was a down-side it was that the seats were uncomfortable and the leg room very cramped, and thats coming from someone who is just 5ft & 2 inches! My companion had another foot on me and found the cramped seating a distraction from the show. Perhaps the more expensive seats are more comfortable. Wish everywhere had seats as cosy and roomy as The National Theatre! Conveniently located just along the road from Waterloo station for tube, rail and taxis.

We had an amazing time, but my god this place sticks to the 'original' Alice = totally mind altering! Located in Waterloo Vaults, you first enter into a bar and merchandise area, at which point you're asked to check your coat and bag in. There is a bar available but, having been to Cubana for a happy hour cocktail beforehand, we were just ready to get started. This is also the opportunity to pre-order your drinks for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party if you so wish - white or red wine, or a gin and cucumber cocktail at £5 a pop. The experience itself is hard to describe, partly because there's just so much going on your brain can hardly comprehend and partly because I don't want to ruin anything for those who want to attend in the near future. Four different stories unfold alongside one another, culminating in a huge court scene with the ferocious queen and interspersed with all the well known characters. The Mad Hatter's Tea Party was a personal favourite (and not just for the opportunity to sit down!) - the characters are all very well played, the right balance between scary and comfortingly familiar. Plus the look on people's faces when the scene begins again is something of a picture...worth swotting up if you want to know what's to come! The final bar is where you can revel in the success of escaping this twisting world, with a brilliant little band, bar and hot food available. There's a maze and some flamingo croquet for activities, and plenty of alcohol available. You can re-enter this area throughout its run this summer with your SUIT card, issued earlier in the evening, and worth visiting if you know someone who possess something so powerful. Why four stars? Giving in our bags as recommended rendered us purse-less, so that last area was a bit of a let down - once you exit, there's no re-entry on the day, so it was a quick nose around and then out again. Coming out at £50 a ticket, you'd also think that perhaps that the tea party drink could be on the house. Whether you go for 'eat me' or 'drink me', I recommend the Alice's Adventures Underground Experience. Just, please, don't eat the jam tarts!

ADVCE: Other than stop companies like Theatre Tickets Direct selling tickets to your shows might be something you could consider? Whilst we are going to watch the show, we will never attend the Peacock Thearte again. It is rather ironic that the Theartes here in London have been pleading for Government funding to help them survive the pandemic, and then allow companies like Theatre Tickets Direct sell their shows and treat consumers unfairly in their name. HERE BELOW IS OUR THEARTE TICKETS DIRECT REVIEW ON GOOGLE AND TRUSTPILOT BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER USING THEM CHECK THEIR ONE STAR REVIEWS. So, my Wife tried to book two tickets for Saturday Night Fever at the Peacock Thearte for the performance on the evening of the 20 February 2022. Upon visiting their site she notice a block of three front row seats available so she proceeded to book two of the three seats available. She booked one of the two seats but when she tried to book the seat next to the one she had booked she found that system was not letting her do so. Frustrated with this she when out of the booking system and refreshed her browser. Upon going back into the booking system she clicked on the first seat she had booked it and was not showing as available any longer. She then thought well that seat has now gone and successfully booked the other two remaining seats. She went to the secure checkout and paid for the tickets. Within minutes of making the booking she received notification from her bank that Thearte Tickets Direct had debited the cost of all three tickets from her account. She immediately emailed Thearte Tickets Direct advising them of the error within tens minutes of receiving the notification of debit from her bank. She received a very abrupt email the next day from a Nandeep Vyas advising that it was now 'impossible' to issue a refund for the third ticket even though it was probably a glitch in their booking system. We have perused the one star reviews here and would tend to agree with the consensus of opinion expressed therein that the customer service is appalling and that they are potentially scamming consumers. We are consumer lawyers and we will not let this matter rest. We fully intend to drag the matter through the Small Claims Court for a princely sum of £35 to issue on these people, and have them explain their T&Cs to the court is well worth it, and we will publish the outcome here, win or lose. We have also written to the Chief Executive of the Peacock Theatre outlining our dissapointment in the way in which this company represent the theatres who allow them to sell tickets for their shows on their behalf.

We were down in the stalls and there are no pillars or other such construction in the middle of the hall, so none of the seats were "restricted view" I'd bought discounted tickets on Time Out and that is always a risk, since you do not know until you've picked up your tickets in the day of the show, what seats are going to be allocated to you. But at the Peacock, that risk is minimised - due to the afore mentioned absence of "restricted view" seats. Temperatures were comfortable throughout. There were cafeterias on both floors (stalls and circle), but we had just had dinner before the show, so we didn't brave the crowds milling around to check it out. They do have a lift for the disabled to use, so access is not an issue, even though the elevator is very slow. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think they have some kind of tie-up with Sadler Wells as they seem to have a lot of their shows coming up.
