In a nut shell the Jeweler who does the repairs is a Nasty Little Man! I took my wedding rings in to be resized. The lady recommended that I have the two rings welded together for strength and to avoid wear, I agreed. She gave me a price of $50. After 6 to 8 weeks a received a call for pick up. The bill came to over $100, not $50. Wore my rings less than 2 week and they snapped in half, both rings! So much for added strength! The jeweler said my rings were too thin. So I left them for him to repair. Another 6 to 8 weeks later I was called to pick up. After wearing them less than one week, they snapped in half on the other side! Again the jeweler blamed my rings' condition and not his workmanship. He was rude and nasty saying that my rings were mass produced, insinuating that they were of poor quality. He finally offered to fix but would not guarantee them. I took my rings out of there. Three other jewelers looked at my set, without knowing the incident, and NONE of them said they were weak! I have since had my rings repaired else where and have had no problems with them. I still get angry every time I notice the CUT MARKS on my rings the Vashti's jeweler put on them to line them up for welding. Beware! read more
